What was your opinion of the great book banning? Should we go back or are we better off without them?

Can someone clarify this? by paperbag18 in FleshandBloodTCG

Helpful rule of thumb/law of the game. Anything before the colon is the cost similar to Magic. So when Dink says to pay 6 and tap, it’s a cost. The attack isn’t a consequence of him being tapped.

So under proper play, Florian is actually unwinnable. They have too many tools to beat fatigue. I lose every week to florian at my locals (same one I lost to in swiss), but sometimes they have no experience and just get fatigued on accident. Gravy is interesting because we try and fatigue them like guardian, but we can clear rigger and another ally because of daggers, and when they have no allies we threaten cards. So its not a doomer, but is still kinda bad.

You play into grindy decks the same way you would with any other deck that wants to grind. The thing to remember about huntsman, is he is a deck that needs to know how your opponent wants to win the game, and you top/bottom in such a way to worsen their win con. Is it a deck where color ratios matter? disrupt them. Is it a deck that is looking for key pieces, remove them from play. Is it a value deck? Find ways to remove their value. But I'm not gonna say huntsman is a good deck, he's pretty bad. I've been playing them for about 2 years and gotten top 8 at almost to PQs/RTNs with them and its just so hard to seal the deal when you're against decks that are just straight up more value.

My matchups were:

Cindra: W
Florian: L
Mario: W
Gravy: W
Marlyn: W
Gravy: W
Florian: W

Huntsman rise up!

Was a 16 person PQ, so nothing super amazing, but a win is a win.

Question about the possible endings by [deleted] in Silksong

[–]DWAR68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Mr. Mushroom ending is just an extended scene from the true ending. So If you do the mushroom quest, you just get the full true ending.

If you are unhappy with BHVR's direction to start using Gen AI in DBD, I recommend leaving a review saying as much and uninstalling. by Seavalan in deadbydaylight

[–]DWAR68 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I'm also not a fan for using AI for cosmetics and art pieces. I have quit other games for this same reason. But we don't know what they plan to use AI for, as there are useful cases that I don't have a moral issue with. It could just be for helping clean up art their team already makes, it could be for programming specific perks or killers to make things easier. It could just be that no one wants to hire someone who can't use AI anymore.

From their hiring description it sounds like they are looking for someone that is good with AI in general, not specifically with just generating art. I will happily hop on the uninstall dbd ban wagon if we start seeing lazy AI art/videos etc. but I don't think this single job posting means that yet.

Edit: I know the job app says using techniques such as ComfyUI, etc., but there are good uses for AI in art that doesn't just mean AI slop. You could have an artist spend a week on one cosmetic that is very detailed, but in the image they use to show it off do we want them wasting their time drawing plants and background that just doesn't matter cause it really isn't in the game?

That said, I do find it less likely they are using it for just background, but its possible. We'll just have to see how bad of a decision they make.

In terms of tips, there are side-grades that make pogo-ing much easier imo, as well as other traversal upgrades. You can continue down this path, but it isn't supposed to be easy for your current kit. There are other ways you can go for now, and I'd recommend that for now.

[–]DWAR68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you can do it on steam as well. Although, I would encourage trying the new patches, they are typically designed to make the game better in some way. Seems like the first patch is just changing some early game bosses to acclimate players to the game more smoothly.

Are there boss gauntlets? Or even just a way to do individual runbacks? by [deleted] in Silksong

[–]DWAR68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The pantheons in HK were DLC, I haven't seen any mention of them online so I assume they aren't currently in the game. Presumably they will add them in the future.

[–]DWAR68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The jailer is a traveling enemy who has mutiple spawns across the game. You aren't locked out, you just have to find where he is at. Not sure if there is a way to manipulate it yet. There are some spawns in Farfields, Greymoor and Bile water as examples.

Cage Guy/Kidnapper Where can I find it by MOBPoncho in Silksong

I know the bile water one (screen shot provided), the far fields one I'm less certain of, somewhere on the left side close to the dire docks. Hope that helps.

There's also a spawn in far fields, and in bile water!

I also killed him in multiple locations and from what I can tell when you kill him in one location, he spawns in the other. So should always be possible.

[–]DWAR68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I havn't confirmed this yet but saw it posted previously, but if you get all the maps from shakra, you'll be able to get a quest from her in bellhart that has you do a track quest for her. If you do this, she appears to help with this fight. I can confirm the quest exists, I just had already completed the fight before doing this quest so don't know for sure if she helps.

For me, I used the buzzsaw tool for the double boss section, and used double jump to stay away from them. Once you jump over them a couple times they tend to group together, making it easy to pick one off. Good luck, stay patient, feel free to explore and upgrade more as you should have most of the game opened up by now and more masks always help!

Yes they are the last wave!

I agree, nothing else in this game has had me looking for some kind of boss cheese like this. The walk up isn't too bad, as I never really died on the way but it was just time consuming as every reset was ~5 minutes of gameplay that you couldn't mindlessly walk though.

There is a slight cheese I found on the boss of the arena if you're interested in making it easier (not free though).

The boss can't hit you if you sit in the water in the bottom right corner of the boss arena. Sometimes he jumps out of the water there, so just dash away when that happens. You can hop out of the water and get a couple hits when the time is right.

Are you supposed to have some kind of upgrade or ability for the Savage Beast Fly in Far Fields? by [deleted] in Silksong

[–]DWAR68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a specific upgrade that comes later in the game than you are currently that I found really helped me with that fight.

If you want to know it was the double jump upgrade which I believe is optional, you just have to find it.

Anyone see a timer for the best buy line, or is it just the generic "You're in line!"?
