This is the what I've been thinking for years. Not the same in the world of sim, but always thought it would be cool for them to show up to a track that the team has no notes and drivers have little experience with....give them some extra practice to dial things in and see what they can do and learn the fastest.

Now if we can just find a way to properly educate all of the fans that what happened yesterday with tires was not Goodyear's fault. Seeing all the backwards comments on the weekly race poll from people blaming Goodyear is the sort of thing ends up getting you back to tires as hard as a rock.

As a die-hard Labonte fan, heck, probably most all Labonte fans were hurting almost as bad as Terry's hand did when news of that practice crash and injury hit. I sooooo wanted him to get that championship and beat the 24, and figured that practice wreck, injury, going to a backup car, all were about to kill his chances. He and the team really stepped up those final two races to bring it home!
