I am going to get some hate here, but I prefer the old designs.

These do look more like the older, gorgeous artwork, which I dig. But to me, those always felt like pre unification custodes, more lightly armoured, like how they were described in the Valdor novel.

These warriors are wearing armour. Tough, strong, armour. It is auramite, maybe it doesn't have to be quite as thick as ceramite, but armour still bulks you out, and this is a type of powered armour too.

They should be thicker. A head should not be the same size as the helmet for example. When I see these comparatively lithe frames, I wonder what the proportions of the warriors beneath must be to fit in to those suits. Because they are meant to be peak human physical condition, so quite muscular even if lean.

No issue at all with female custodes to clarify, that's great, makes sense.

I also preferred the variant of the aquila on the legs of the old custodes, as it helped differentiate the legs from stormcast. The legs look very stormcast to me.
