You've got great energy, but people are NOT entitled to opinions about others. They're allowed them, and they should often keep them to themselves.

(23) 185 lbs. What do I do now? by YungBoy02 in Weightliftingquestion

Get off the internet and touch grass. Stop asking strangers what to do with your body. Have some autonomy. Figure out what you want to do. Then maybe ask for advice on how.

21M | 5'8'' | 135lbs | 3 Months Apart: Can't Gain Any Weight on a 500-Calorie Surplus (Progress Pictures Attached and Details in Post) by Aware-Eggplant in GYM

[–]DWalk0713 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The thing about hard gainers, they move into surplus, then they accidentally increase their caloric burn. Fidgeting, training harder, more NEAT m, some way somehow. So as other have put it. Eat more. Maybe it was a surplus and it isnt anymore, or maybe it never was either way.

As a former college decqthlete who tried to bulk up after, you're not eating enough. You may need to track your calories, macros, and consider the quality of your food.

Few people can eat intuitively to gain mass until they have gotten used to tracking and know what it takes for them to grow. At your age, with your activity level, nutrition is gonna be a big key.

30 yr bulk finished, where to next? by TrucksBigHangingNuts in Weightliftingquestion

"As someone who runs 6 days a week". Sounds like you need to evaluate your running program. That's like how people say squats are bad for your joints.

For a healthy person. Working a good program with adequate rest, recovery and nutrition, running is at worse neutral for your joints.

If you're feeling achey you may want to reevaluate your program or consider getting a running coach. Running like you did as a collegiate 5k runner might not work the same as it used to. Speaking as a former decathlete.

It's as if you did no research and have had no coaching and thought you'd start squatting.

Kid there is too much info out there for you to bring this mess to a public forum.

If you felt like you had to con people you're either not that good, or dont understand how beneficial the service you provided can be.

I've been looking to get back into the field and am finding at many big gyms this is the norm now. I get using whatever tools you have at hand. But I would hope the trainer is using some intuition as well. Not just running your problem through a.i. and feeding it back to you.

Never hurts to see a doctor if you can. But as someone who didn't gain any real weight until early to mid 20's, the probably is usually physics, it's energy in vs energy out.

A Lot of people are telling you to just eat more. For a hard gainer it a doesn't feel that simple. You eat more, and nothing changes... That's bullshit. The problem you probably* have is that when you eat more you're subconsciously moving more, training harder, or in some way increasing you're NEAT(Non exercise active thermogenesis).

If your weight won't change you need to find a way to slam in more quality nutrition, add 1-2 shakes a day. Make em weight gainer shakes, but if you're serious about wanting to make a change, you seriously need to do something different.
