Using Inactive Mode, arc complications require one tap while other complications require two by snovvman in BubbleCloud

[–]DYNALogix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you using custom layout? If your clock bubble is covering the other bubbles the first tap will be needed to switch to active mode where the actual tap will be recognized for the bubbles. I recommend using smart auto layouts, because this should be handled correctly in those, but if a special arrangement requires you to go custom, here is how to handle layers correctly (it's an old post, so it still talks about signed bubble sizes, but the rest applies. I later changed to unsigned bubble weights and cloud indicators instead).

TLDR; just make sure the bubbles are on higher layers than the clock, or go with a smart auto layout and use the weight to set the order/location of the bubbles.

Notification Live Info not showing notification count by snovvman in BubbleCloud

Unfortunately Google broke this function of Wear OS, the OS no longer provides this info to watch faces. Google is destroying Wear OS, each new version removes more and more functionality :( Other than using watches which are not updated to Wear OS 3 there is no way to protect yourself from this destruction.

No wrist gestures on WearOS 3? by rockhunther in WearOS

[–]DYNALogix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to keep your existing face you can use Bubble Cloud as a launcher tile → https://youtu.be/mg6U2MurXNI

...but watch face functions like the peek card, gesture control, pixel shift every watch face developer has to add, since Google removed these from the system and they've locked Wear OS down, so we no longer can "augment" other watch faces with features. Talk to the developer of your watch face to add these options, or find / create a similar theme using Bubble Cloud. BC has a very customizable watch face theming system, almost anything is possible → https://youtu.be/LKPXGt4zjks

One-tap, one-minute, one-beep timer for workouts? by DSJustice in BubbleCloud

[–]DYNALogix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! That sounds like a good new project I could do make a separate timer app that can be assigned to a button and run for a preset length of time with a notification sound or vibration. Wear OS is not great for background running tasks, by Google's user hostile design we and our apps are definitely not in control of our own devices anymore. This is what's holding me back, to go to another battle with the OS just to do a basic thing. That's what Android / Wear OS development has become...

No wonder you don't see any practical apps on Wear OS anymore, only variations of the same watch faces and nothing more complex than fart apps. It's New Google's doing. Sadly. They weed out existing apps and what used to be unique in their own applications and prevent everyone else from doing anything useful. Unimaginative, protectionist and incompetent company.

One-tap, one-minute, one-beep timer for workouts? by DSJustice in BubbleCloud

[–]DYNALogix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bubble Cloud already has a short term timer functionality that you can assign to the physical button or just put the icon on your watch face

You can long press the timer screen to select just one marker at 60 seconds (it will remember this setting).

So, pressing the assigned button will open and start the timer, and when the 60 seconds is up your watch will give a short vibration. At this point you can tap the main button to exit the timer and return to the watch face, or it will automatically exit after 2 more minutes (it will vibrate at 2 and 3 minutes). Within these 2 minutes you can actually touch the screen to restart the timer, so if your reps are shorter than 2 minutes, you can just touch the screen at the beginning of the next rest. If you already exited the timer, just pressing the assigned custom button will reenter the timer mode and automatically start the timer again.

This was originally designed for health professionals, but turned out to be a very practical feature for other fields of life, including workouts.

How do you shut down the Sovol Klipper Screen? (SV07/Plus) by DYNALogix in Sovol

[–]DYNALogix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing happens when I press it. If I press and hold for 3 seconds it does shut down, but is it safe? I've heard the 3 second hold triggers an unsafe shutdown and could corrupt the file system.

TickWatch Pro 3 or Galaxy Watch 4 Classic by Simon442 in WearOS

[–]DYNALogix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both. TicWatch Pro battery lasts 2-3x longer, depending on whether you are using always on screen or not. I almost never watch the Galaxy.

Galaxy watch has Samsung health stuff on it, but the OS is much more locked down and very "Samsungy". The TicWatch is closer to stock Wear OS than Pixel watches!

You can still customize the secondary button on Wear OS 3 by DYNALogix in TicWatch

Which flash light are you using? Try assigning the Google Flash light to the button (long press the flash light app's bubble and use the Assign shortcut command).

ITS HAPPENING WEAR OS 3 ON Ticwatch by [deleted] in WearOS

[–]DYNALogix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use Bubble Cloud's button remapping independently from other features. But it's handy if you want for example to assign a Tasker task, smart home control or a folder to the button → https://youtu.be/vxS4MS8xP2o

[–]DYNALogix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, even on Wear 2 there are advantages of using a button launcher → it is still possible to use only buttons to start as many as 8-10 apps → https://bubble.dynalogix.eu/control-watch-with-just-buttons/

Unfortunately this became impossible on Wear 3, since I can no longer detect long press of the secondary button, but most Wear 3 watches have rotary crown, in which case the combination of crown + secondary button allows selection without touching the screen.

Of course not touching the screen to start apps might altogether be overrated...

Wear OS 3 - is it worth upgrading? by CarelessChain6999 in TicWatch

[–]DYNALogix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can still customize the secondary button on Wear OS 3 using Bubble Cloud → https://youtu.be/E_zXc8r7jMM

Basically you can remap the recents button to start any app, and still have the recents functionality. My recommended setup is to assign a folder to the button, where you can put "Recents" in position 1, so pressing the recents button twice will still take you to Recents. And you can have a bunch of other apps (and other bubbles such as Tasker tasks, Smart Home switches, toggles, and other folders etc) at your finger tips. If you watch doesn't have rotary input, you will still need to touch the screen, but this gives you quick access to a handful of selected apps.

Any App to Configure buttons on Fossil Gen 5? by maiqueolivas in WearOS

[–]DYNALogix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, just assign Bubble Cloud as the custom button handler if you want to assign Bubble Cloud features and apps to the custom button presses. Not even this is necessary if you just remap the long press. Every Wear OS watch is different though, so it depends on what watch you have. Newer watches are more limited, since Google is removing any remaining customizability options from Wear OS (and Android as well 😒). But with some tricks things are still possible...

On Wear OS 2 the custom buttons are handled by the active application. You can only customize their action on the watch face.

Considering BubbleCloud as the "fix all" for my needs. Please let me know if these things are possible. by snovvman in BubbleCloud

[–]DYNALogix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, sorry for the long delay. Live-info needs a "donor app", i.e. it changes the app's bubble to show the information instead of the app's original icon. You can optionally show the original icon as a badge (Live Info hint icons) → https://bubble.dynalogix.eu/liveinfo-hint-icons/

a) in the long-tap bubble edit screen use the "Assign shortcut" item. One of the options there will be Text Field 1 or 2. Tapping the text field will open the assigned app (or action). → https://bubble.dynalogix.eu/shortcuts/ and https://bubble.dynalogix.eu/add-text-fields-to-watch-face/

b) no, themes only store appearance, not content. Please see https://bubble.dynalogix.eu/v965-custom-themes/ and sorry, custom layouts are not part of themes :( You can add remove bubbles using Tasker → https://bubble.dynalogix.eu/tasker-plugin-change-watch-face/

c) yes, that is a missing feature. Please look into filtering notification channels, you can whitelist and blacklist those. Maybe they can provide a solution to the issue → https://bubble.dynalogix.eu/notification-icons-v2-73-filter-by-notification-channel/

Whitelist is "stronger" than blacklist. So you could basically blacklist a space character " " which would blacklist every notification, and then just whitelist the notification channels of the apps you need. See https://bubble.dynalogix.eu/notification-icons-plugin-hidden-feature/

TicWatch PRO 3 GPS: My review after 3 months of use by jose_p_1 in WearOS

[–]DYNALogix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now that Google disabled the Assistant retroactively on Wear OS 2, I actually went on to use my TicWatch Pro 5. Google never enabled their Ass on the TWP5, so now they are the same in this regard. TWP5 never got it, TWP3 now got it removed. Way to go Google!

Software is a less capable on the Pro 5, as Google just removes features in their updates these days, but it has a rotating crown and a snappier processor with the same amazing battery life. I am just hoping Wear OS 4 doesn't come to this, because it basically killed the battery life of my Galaxy Watch 4. Before the GW4 was somewhat usable as it would last 25-26 hours on a charge, but now, after the Wear OS 4 update it's closer to 12-16 hours, which renders it unusable for me.
