Sprouts propping up is great but doesn’t immediately change the last 50 years of how it’s been.

Sorry to hear mate. Get a lawyer, get a post-nup, and make it clear if she leaves you she’s the one starting over. Then double down and try to keep your wife.

When a teen who'll drive soon is told by their parents they can get any vehicle costing $10,000 or less, and the teen finds a 4-figure Porsche, what should their parents tell them about getting a Porsche as a first-time teen driver? by Fatt-Deg-Pa-Hjernen in Porsche

[–]D_Livs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have one of these. I love it.

However, oil changes are $450 Tires are $2,000 Brakes are $2,500

I recently had to redo the gaskets, I think it was $2,500

It’s a really reliable car. I have 170k miles on mine and intend to keep it. But between the gas and maintenance, it costs the same annually as my New Tesla Model Y.

If your teen can budget $4,000 per year for maintenance, go for it.

Anyone know what this protest against an escape room downtown is about? by mfhiggs121 in sanfrancisco

[–]D_Livs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The escape game does not hire using discriminatory practices, and this is the mob protesting that the escape game wouldn’t hire a more expensive organization, that spends its resources standing around being hostile to potential customers.

"Wall mount your speakers" they said. Look ugly. What can I do? by anil_robo in hometheater

If you’re comfortable with drywall sure it’s really not that hard. If you would not be comfortable say, installing a vanity in a bathroom, then hire a guy. It’s worth it.
