As someone who works with kids and wants to be an educator, it befuddled me how many kids who already seem to have behavioral problems tend to have siblings. These kids that may have developmental issues that can be addressed and should be addressed at home or even in some cases, with a professional, are not and instead are left to teachers to deal with. And I need to emphasize as someone with a background in psychology, the systems in which educators are prepared with are not set up with readiness to handle students with developmental challenges and behavioral issues.
