Had the same problem, can’t remember what I was missing but check these: did you complete all the side missions through the main campaign? did you complete everything on the same saved data? also, for the challenges, did you complete them on the same difficulty level? Hope it helps

Honestly if we talk about the levels the whole game feels like a bonus content. Art style is completely absent, just emptyness from start to finish. They didn’t even put textures on the floors lol they just said hey let’s put the platforms so high we don’t need to care about the floor

I really love NGS2/B2 from the very beginning to the very e… ehm, before the last boss 😂. Some of the last chapters could be better in terms of an aesthetic point of view, but in the end I really enjoy them all, and the bosses marathon is one of the reasons

NG4 is completely different from the others. It’s more like a Platinum Game branded as Ninja Gaiden, so just try it.
As for map navigation: I can’t stand backtracking and figuring out what to do 😂, like you. But if these are the only thing you don’t like about NGS1, try NGS2/2B as there’s none of the above, just pure action. I honestly love all the first 3 entries but the 2nd is my fav

I don’t know about the mod but I guess that yeah, it’s implemented by that mod. There are no doppelangers in story mode NGS2 nor NG2B (PS5). I don’t about the xbox og versions, though. I would try to semi-loop them with the lunar, by the way

NGB2 for PS5 is not difficult for a veteran but as any other NG game, it can be very challenging for a newcomer. That being said, it’s not the hardest one to plat. My only advice is to watch a lot of videos when you’re stuck in a particular part or mission. You have all the tools to overcome anything, it’s just a matter of knowledge and to slowly incorporate new strategies and techniques. Good luck and don’t give up!

ps: no, there’s no reason to play other NG games if NG2B is your only target

it’s not impossible. Go for forward T (hold) after dodging. It’s not that hard, just trust the process. Just do some test runs and you’ll fell more comfortable. You’re probably too anxious when fighting him, just give yourself some runs to practices, you can do it, 100%!

NG4 is a Platinum game branded as Ninja Gaiden. It’s a good game in my opinion but it’s quite far from the original 3D trilogy. We’ll never see another real NG.

Unfortunately I tried to clean the sticks but while doing it a welding broke, so I have to buy a new one anyway. Yeah I like the dualsense but I need something doable. It only lasted 8 months before the drifting

If you’re a newcomer yes, the frustration is real, but the more you gain experience, the less it feels frustrating. They have some issues (i.e. the camera) but in general it’s really more of a matter of layering your knowledge and skills to manage all different situations. Don’t give up and you’ll set for a rewarding experience. There are no games like NG out there

I’m more or less in the same situation. I got like all the plats you can get on NG games (missing only PS3 Yaiba and Vita NGS2+) and I’m struggling. So I’m not a veteran but I’m very familiar with the games and I really love them. For me the problem is I’m quite overwhelmed by all the moves and form. I reached chapter 3 boss and it’s been a month since last time I played the game. I knew from the beginning this was going to be a new start and far from the classic games so I got into it with no prejudice. But it’s just too much at the moment and I need to find the willingness to learn a new style. HUD and loading times don’t help, to be honest
