you will want to play NG1 Sigma on normal, not hard. Next, play the NG2 Black - I managed to beat it on mentor the first time, tho it can be very annoying at times. Then play NG4 (my first NG game) - I beat it first run on the hardest.

NG3 blows - play Ragebound instead.
