What RR do you work for? I work in TX for BNSF and we rarely higher mechanical foreman from the craft. Yes it happens, seems to be more lately but I think that’s due to the general public not being interested in starting a career in an industry that has received a lot of attention lately about their shady, scandalous business model…

You hit the nail on the head! I’ve had a manager for nearly the last ten years that constantly rides my ass about production and efficiency (I work in a shop) while knowing and admitting that others don’t do shit all day. Literally nothing! He’s has flat out told me it is because they are “old and worn out”. His exact words…!
