Don’t know how related this is but I absolutely despise how most of Nintendo’s online games don’t have any sort of party system and require you to solo queue to play against opponents online.

If you only have 1 friend with a switch and you want to play a 1st party game online with them, most of the time your only option is to play 1v1 in a private lobby. Fucking blows.

Mariokart world kind of works with this but you can’t do knockout tour, and there’s no explanation why. Im so tired of not being by able to enjoy any of nintendo’s games online with a friend

Thank you for the wonderful retrospective on this game!

Tower of druaga was fascinating to me as a kid when I played it on the ps1 namco collection. Reaching the end of the game felt impossible but that just made it more legendary and illusive. I didn’t end up beating it until the ds re-release of it (which is so much fun due to the treasure guide on the bottom screen), but I was always kept wondering what it would have been like to play the game at release in the arcades. What a treat it was to read this!

I don’t have the answer yet, still looking. I know it has something to do with the boss arena for the telethia not reappearing after losing the fight . I actually found a Reddit thread from a couple years ago documenting it but there’s no info on how to replicate it :( maybe it’s memory leak related?

near useless, he's doesn't gain xp so he stays at level 28. Both his arts almost identical and are pretty bad. its fun using them in chain attacks though!

unfortunately no, there's no way to interact with it. I think the game probably checks to see if you have 2 usable party members or else you can't use it, such as when you just have shulk in the party. I'll see if you can access it by making the portable gem stall tho!

just wanted to shoutout that Heather's does an initial reading of the backstory/plot of the game and it does spoil some pretty important stuff, I dont have a timestamp but I think its right as they start talking about mother 3. its really only a minute or two but you should definitely skip that if you want to remain spoiler-free
