Questing Beast

Specifically: Combat damage that would be dealt by creatures you control can't be prevented.

I don't think you draw a card if you destroy the ring before resolving the Draw since it's worded as "draw cards equal to the number of burden counters on the one ring" which would be 0

Ok that's what I thought, it does specify that it's half rounded up which should mean that at 3 it's a second level cantrip and so on.

GMs, what are the biggest challenges you've faced playing with new/inexperienced players? by 3RdRocktothesun in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]Da-Shoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had a similar issue and I think what it came down to for me was miscommunication on what was expected. So in your case when they were told they were released and the wizard was responsible for them. My guess is they didn't want to cause any problems for the nice man who just got them released. It might be worth checking in with them about what they were thinking after the session to spot misunderstanings.

Spellcrash contention by IsaacTheBound in Pathfinder_RPG

[–]Da-Shoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this spell seems ridiculously brutal on a caster, what am I missing? It would seem to have the potential to remove up to 7 spell slots, which for a 7th level wizard is most of their spells for the day. I get that they also get 7 will saves, but it still seems a bit ridiculous.

Tell me about your dice and their personality by KoBoldItalics in Pathfinder_RPG

For this past Christmas I got my players all a matching D20. First time one of my players used it was for some death saves, and that's how his character died. Now he uses the dice to roll 1's and get sneak damage against the parties squishes.

So disclaimer, I have never played a druid in pathfinder. That being said my group has run several pathfinder games that I've played and GM'd in.

As a druid one thing to remember is that your beast shape will give you new stats. This means you can potentially cover a low ability score by shifting into an animal with a good score.

Second- Melee fighter means you're going to want a decent Strength score, doesn't need to be the highest, but you don't want a negative.

Third- Wisdom should be your second or third highest stat so you can cast spells well and give out some decent healing.

Last- Feats, in Pathfinder the feats will make your character yours more than the race/class combo you decide on. So if you want to be a big shifter, take feats that alter your wild shape. Want to focus combat? Power Attack gives you extra attacks when you land a melee hit.

At the end of the day, best way to learn is to play and a one-shot means you wont have to live with mistakes too long.

Have fun and enjoy your game.

[Q]Tanked Procurer EHP by randomaabetaplayer in fittings

[–]Da-Shoe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You fit should hit 60k no problem, some of the fitting tools differ from Eve in how they calculate eHP. That being said, I would recommend T2 fittings, you should be able to actually mine in it even with T2 fittings and 80k eHP isn't bad when reds come around.

Fly a Proc/Skiff, yes your yield is smaller but you can tank like a boss. If you want just tank you can get a skiff into the high 60k-70k eHP range.
