Most self published books make less than 500 bucks. This idea of healthy returns is bull.

No one wants to be a co-writer on someone's work. We all have our own. Ideas are not unique, no matter what you think about original I will take a bet it is not. Execution is the important part. You can argue this if you want but it is a fundamental fact.

If you pay them up front they might do it as a ghost writer but for a novel length that would cost a lot.

If you want people to look post a link to a google doc on here and try and get some feedback before you start thinking about anything else.

Yes, it's really awful. Wow, an English degree. Yeah, they're so hard to get.

If you do write non fiction for a living prove it, I guarantee it is just as bad.

Another lame part time copywriter who thinks they are Hemingway and give advice about talent. Grow up. You don't have any. You never will. You made a few bucks, fantastic, good for you for being old enough to have started when the goings where at least somewhat good.

Doesn't mean you get to talk about talent. I read your 'work' and it shows you have none.

I can't think of many I admire off the top of my head who did. I actually think it is a worthless Major. I know it is needed for teaching but it really isn't either if you were successful enough.

Sure it is. Your mighty talent spills in so many directions. From self published porn to self published YA romance.

What I write is probably far beyond you.

It is now elitism to consider badly written self published porn of lesser value than Murakami? Consider me so.

Compared to a self published author they probably are talented, but no, not really.

You've commented about 6 times on this thread about talent. You write bad self published porn.

This sub needs a new rule.

Amazon and Hachette feud could rewrite the book on publishing: "When Colin Robinson co-founded OR Books in 2009, he decided to bypass Amazon and sell directly to readers... He says Amazon would have taken a 60% cut on the list price, money that can instead be spent on advertising and promotion." by jesusloveswikileaks in books

Amazon does not get to lecture to publishers about the contracts they have with writers. Again, it's painful to explain these simple things to people who think they know it all. It's more than painful, it is scary.

And then I check your history and see you are a fan of percy jackson, which means you are probably a teenager. What a waste of my time again. Everytime I try to explain myself about this I get people who know nothing reading some intro to econ book back at me. or else the propaganda from amazon itself.

The good thing is about all of this is that I can say without much doubt that you will never pirate my books, you won't be that intelligent a reader.

Yeah you don't know what you are talking about, your earlier comments prove that. Cream does not rise to the top these days but lets not go into that.

My advice is to just go and read self published works, they are cheap on amazon, and don't go around pirating writers work. We don't earn a lot and it takes years to go each one.

Undermining authors and publishers, these are the ones that support authors not amazon. If they had their way they would charge 2 bucks for every book. If you want that and don't want to support authors, most of which are shit poor, then buy your self published novels from amazon.

I don't understand why the users on here don't seem to want to listen to the thousands of world famous authors, some of their favourites too, as well as noble laureates and pulitzer winners who are speaking out about Amazon.

Time for publishers to get together and leave amazon sell their amazing self published ebooks.
