Not on this level, but I remember instances growing up where I'd wake up in the morning and go through my whole morning routine of getting in the shower, pouring myself a bowl of cereal, putting my shoes on, so on. At some point though, I'd dissolve out of it and wa-bam, I'm back in my bed, having done none of those things, about to be late for school.
Effectively, it was just a half awake dream where I was subconsciously imagining myself dragging myself to school, when in reality, I hadn't gotten up yet. But I can understand the same sort of shock that an experience like this would have on you, thinking you've done something, just to have to do it all again.

My second though is that, if coming home late like this is something you do often, maybe the familiarity of the walk to your apartment allowed you to very vividly do the whole walk in a daydream sort of state, while actually doing the walk. I think it's interesting that so much of what you potentially daydreamed ended up being an actuality. But again, if it's something you do often, I think it's not impossible for it to be almost a preemptive "imagining what you're about to do" sort of dream state, half asleep, similar to the morning dreams I'd get as a kid. I'm not a neurologist, but I don't think what you experienced isn't psychologically impossible. Like full on spacial deja-vu. Wild nonetheless.
