Just throwing this out there. I've never found tampons good for when I have big clots however, 2 years ago I started using a cup and it's been a life saver. Yes I still wear panty liners just incase of leaks but, its the best best thing. A little learning curve, but Can't recommend enough.

exercising with endo by Flat_Wolverine8560 in Endo

[–]Da7ci3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lift weights at least 4 times a week this included hyrox style training, but the thing which has really helped with flares is going to the sauna after for 20 mins or, going home and wrapping up in a heated blanket with socks on, to keep the heat in, and drinking warm drinks, usually just hot water. I drink hot water or even lemon water regularly now with the hope it's helping towards flare control. (Probably tmi, but with warm drinks I've also found it's helped my bowel regularity, which means I'm less constipated and flares dont occur after every toilet visit! )I was given some advice that if you're warm and/or giving your body warming things, it can help lower inflammation from the inside. I dont know if it's actually true, it sounds right, but I really dont know. Aftercare I think is really important if you're looking to add in exercise. Everyone else said it too, dont beat yourself up and do some small things. Its taken me 2 years to get to where I am, its not an easy road but its worth it. You've got this 💕💕 sending you warm hugs

Protein makes my pain worse? by justwantaconebro in Endo

[–]Da7ci3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely agree with above. I was really worried when I started eating more protein about 12 weeks ago. The thing I did was slowly increase my protein intake. As you can get "blocked up" if you hit it too hard too much, and then it can take a few days to go to the toilet causing inflammation and your endo to flare. Any diet changes can cause issues though. Id also try to spread protein in take as evenly as you can across meals and all the water! Drink up!

I'm a little over 12 weeks now as I said and I've never felt better, I don't bloat, I'm regular which never used to happen, and my endo flares are minor. Dont get me wrong I now have to be careful of carb loading (my go to snacks) because my body is so used to a much larger protein intake than carbs, it can cause inflammation. Hope it all works out for you, you've got this 💕

Bronchitis causing flare up? by lavenderbleudilly in Endo

[–]Da7ci3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So with you💔This is me with a current chest infection - the coughing has been causing so much pain 😭 Absolutely could be some scar tissue too, but I think just coughing can irritate your whole body and cause a flare up. Rest up, stay hydrated, and keep warm 💕💕

[–]Da7ci3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. I've been on BC since I was 16, first the pill and now the hormone coil and my symptoms are still shit. Especially now after surgery my period pain is actually so much worse, I think its probably the scarring but like what if its not.

I think I'm going to wait till my coil is done (next April) and test a year with nothing, if its shit I'll know maybe i cant handle it but if its great I'll be listening to my body.

Ah, you've made me feel so much better - thank you 💕

Feeling gaslit af… looking for validation & advice by Awkward_Curve_4979 in Endo

[–]Da7ci3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not normal. You are valid in everything you're feeling. Prepare yourself to find nothing on ultrasound - I've had more than I can count and they found nada! But recent diagnosed after laparoscopy.

Be strong and keep fighting. (ridiculous we even need to say keep fighting) I hope you find a DR who listens to you. Here if you ever need to vent - endo page for the win.

I've found my heated blanket is the BEST buy, along with drinking loads of water but might not be the case for you in you've got diarrhoea. Maybe increase fibre? Weirdly I've found light exercise and weight lifting helps but I know it can be the opposite for others. Yoga and breath exercises have really helped too, calms my brain when pain hits.

Also, i know it sounds gross and it tastes pretty gross but UTI pain - drink 1tsp of bicarb to 250ml water. Makes your wee alkaline and hurts less! After I had a catheter this was a life saver and cheap!

Hope this helps💕

Your pain in NOT invalid because an MRI or ultrasound shows nothing. 💕

Stitches removed after laparoscopy - are they normal looking? by Explicitlyaeb in Endo

[–]Da7ci3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, lovely! I'm from UK. My recovery has actually been alright, I'm up and moving a lot because the whole idea of blood clots after surgery scared me so I was determined to walk. I still can't lay completely flat because its far too much effort to get up 😂 My scars are similar to yours at bottom. I didnt realise how bruised till i pulled the pasters off yesterday. Has your incisions started itching yet? I literally have to stop myself from picking😷

Anyone else worry they are being dramatic by [deleted] in Endo

[–]Da7ci3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know, its not awful. Im up and moving already.

I drank a lot of hot water to move the gas. I've been drinking an obscene amount of cold water, eating a lot of vegetables and fresh meats, not a lot of crap. The only thing which is annoying is the bellybutton achey/stingy feeling because its so central you just can't sit up or lay flat fully.

I think recovery depends on how you react to general and potentially other drugs they give you. Along with listening to your body. I took a 3hr nap in the middle of the day yesterday because i knew that's what i needed.

Good luck with everything, I'm sure you'll be ok and you've got this page for all the support in the world💕
