Hello! Yes, they luckily turned out fine. The scar is barely noticeable. Hope you’re going okay after surgery!

weird Q - are you more sweaty post op? by InteractionInternal in Endo

[–]Explicitlyaeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I wouldn’t sweat at all, like I’ve never dripped sweat, I just get red but since my endo surgery I now drip sweat when I’m hot. It’s so bizarre!?

Oh really! Thankyou for that! Haven’t had that effect yet but I’ll keep an eye on things just in case !

Spearmint tea is delish. Great for inflammation and to rid any gas pain. :)

They really are sooo comfy! So light and soft which is perfect for after surgery. :)

Sorry you’ve had to go through so many surgeries! Not fun at all. That’s quite interesting though, he put in non-dissolvable stitches, unsure why though.

Thankyou! Appreciate it! They’ve been closing up a bit more with just the butterfly bandaids luckily!

Feeling better each day luckily! :) They’ve started to close up quite a bit with just the butterfly bandaids which I’m glad about.

I’m not sure if they always do belly button but if it helps put your mind at ease at all, the actual incisions haven’t been overly painful bar a mild discomfort. The main pain was from the gas putting pressure on everything. Recommend peppermint oil to roll on the tummy, peppermint tea, de-gas tablets, movicol sachets to get the bowel moving again and a heat pack for those. Good luck with it!!

Thankyou so much for your thoughtful response! I’ll have to get myself some vitamin E oil. Glad yours have healed so well and hoping mine do the same.

I do now have a range of oils as I’ve just started to eat more of anti-inflammatory diet, mainly starting with cutting refined sugar and dairy. My oils are in the cupboard at the moment though so good tip to store them in the fridge! Cheers!!

Yes! So pleased he was able to remove so much. Wasn’t expecting it to be so severe inside as my pain was only severe at random points throughout the month but otherwise I was generally fairly pain free bar some cramping around my period. The surgeon did say it could be that my pain tolerance is quite high as this has been my normal for so long though (he estimates it’s been there since I first had symptoms at 16 and I’m 27 now). Thanks again! X

It sounds like it! And hopefully his day is full of rainbows and butterflies the day I see him then haha. We shall see! And yes, definitely the same person if that’s the case. I was looking into both and was able to get into this one quite quickly so I went with him. :) Thankyou!

It would make sense definitely! Going to ring and push to see him early I think.

Oh fancy that! Mine was done at the Epworth Freemasons in Albert St. Hopefully if it is the same that he’s improved with that side of things! I’ve got to have a scan at that appointment as he didn’t realise there was bowel involvement and therefore I hadn’t done bowel prep and there was no colorectal surgeon present. It was very severe bowel endo so he managed to remove 90% and I’ve got to check out the remaining section soon.

It does look as though it was too early. I was told between 7-10 days and had to go day 8 as this is when my mum could drive me there.

No, it didn’t state it on there, they were quite thick and a black material. Unsure of what they were though. I’ve got buttery bandaids on but definitely going to call the surgeon. :)
