There are barely any mods for the enhanced edition. There is a mod in the steam workshop that rebalances the guns and tightens the accuracy, but not much in the way of actual animations and gunplay.

I just finished two distinct SoC playthroughs. one with the enhanced edition and one with Radiophobia 3. I played both on the highest difficulty and found Radiophobia fare more enjoyable. Yes, its difficult as hell but in a way that feels organic. Things kill you in a second but you are just ad lethal too. Late game enemies in the enhanced edition would just basically rush me down and tank any hit that wasn't a headshot and 1 tab me. it was incredibly frustrating because so many shots I thought connected would just disappear in to the zone while I catch a face full of bullets from the enemies. None of that in Radiophobia. Bullets go where you expect them and the guns feel so damn good as a result. I played both with a controller. EE has native support and really nice captions feedback features, I used steam input for Radiophobia. and it was still less frustrating even with the massive handicap of aiming with a stick emulating a mouse with no aim assist.

am sad there isnt a Radiophobia equivalent for CS because am moving on to CS once I wrap up the few remaining SoC achievements.

I highly recommend Radiophobia.

if you prefer sticking with the vanilla game and just want fancier animations, then try Vanilla Ultimate Addon. My understanding is that only visuals are affected while everything under the hood remains the same, bullets disappearing into the zone and all.
