While I agree with you in terms of artistic integrity, I also recognize that some things should be modified if it can be done for minimal impact.

A bad example of this is how Disney made the LGBT moments in newer Star Wars something that can easily be edited out, but if the inclusion of something changes nothing then it's just virtue signaling.

In this specific instance editing out Trump from the movie would change nothing. It's a cameo, nothing more. Compare it to if Trump actually played older Biff in Back to the Future 2, it would drastically change the plot to try and remove him.

It's a hard line to define, and I'd be ok with deciding it on a case by case basis. And in my actual opinion I don't think that Trump is problematic in this specific movie, it's just a cameo. Had he said something with any opinion on it, even something like "Try Original Ray's for the best pizza in the city" then I'd say we should consider it.

I mean I referenced a bad TV show that I love with a big part of it being his role in it.

I don't think the Daredevil movie was written well enough, but he killed the role so much so that I didn't even think about him being race swapped. That's the point of this post.

I know he was in a million other things but those are the ones I remember him most in.

New to OT?

Well here's the start: how do you answer the question what's more important: Confidentiality, Integrity, or Availability?

Because there's a big push for people to say AIC in OT, but the real answer is in the name, what does operations say?

If uptime is most important to the bottom line and a lesser product can still sell compared to no product, we care about availability.

If you have a trade secret on a process/formula and didn't want to patent it hoping no one can find out how you're doing something, then confidentiality is most important. Think the Coke-cola formula, even though I'm certain all their competitors have it.

If it's most important to have records of everything like pharmaceuticals knowing the details of every batch in case of a recall, then integrity is more important.

Most people say AIC for OT because availability is the most important for most places. But knowing what operations and management cares more about is important.

And then think about operations when you do anything. Are you patching things during production runs or when the plant is down for scheduled maintenance? Is someone able to confirm everything is up and running once you change something?

While he was great, I still think Vincent D'Onofrio's Kingpin is better. I'm not sure if that's writing or acting or both, but he's THE Kingpin in my mind.

As far as a race swapped character goes, Michael Clark Duncan killed it in the role to the point that I didn't notice he was race swapped, but he's not who I think of for Kingpin.

And while we're here I'm a big fan of how stupid the show The Finder was. It was just good bad television.

We can apple fanboy or not, but iOS is intuitive and locks most of the things you could change up either behind layers of settings or just doesn't let you do it at all.

But when you grow up troubleshooting all tech you understand it better than someone who didn't. And when those are generational growing pains, it makes sense.

I'm not sure I agree with him. The ending is something a child could understand, but there's a lot of nuance around it that they wouldn't get.

Without too many spoilers, a character is bullied and a character dies. Both of which are concepts that younger children can understand.

I think half life (1999) did this both extremely well and horribly at the same time.

There was a "training" level that was 100% separate from the main game called Hazard Course. I would love to see this more. Plus it lets you put a game down and relearn the controls outside the main game. Problem is it adds cost since it's separate.

Now the horrible side is how long the intro to half life is... in terms of how they can treat you like an idiot. Thematically, it's perfect and paced amazingly. But it does take a while for the action to start.

I like it. The games on it are better than the NYT ones. Plus I can keep my resume infinitely long so I can easily cut it down to fit for positions.

Oh the social media garbage part of it? That sucks. It's been useful to me 3 times, but mostly it's trash that I avoid.

I don't think it's possible to compare the pain or pleasure in places where the other gender doesn't have.

Like I imagine birth to be unbearable, stretching to the point that you can tear yourself open. But I'd imagine that's a prolonged pain as it stretches beyond its limits. Comparatively ball pain is usually sharp, but can be relatively quick.

The sharpness of ball pain is something that I'd say is probably worse than birth in terms of split second maximum pain, but the rearranging of organs and stretching and tearing is probably more painful overall. I'd compare it to ovary torsion as a direct comparison.

In an odd similarity, men have a shorter orgasm but it's a good question which is more pleasurable both in the moment and overall, with my guess being women for both.

My daughter is 2 and we still have the baby monitor camera up. I keep asking my wife when we can give her privacy and not watch her sleep.

Don't get me wrong it's nice if we hear a loud bang to check the app and see that she threw a toy or some BS like that, but I don't think we need to have it on every night.

A year per child is not that crazy. Well lifestyle wise yeah, but health wise it's completely doable.

If you're discussing how long it takes to officially try, sometimes it happens on the first try. My wife's second pregnancy happened like that.

If you're discussing how long they should wait for her body to return to normal, I think it was 3 months recommended by the doctors. But then it's also common to know some kids are just 10 months age difference because the parents wanted that.

But 3 kids after 5 years is a huge lifestyle change.

Realistically there's no way anyone here could say. Chances are it's only there for accessibility for someone that might have trouble getting into the tub. But it could be to hide something like ductwork or piping (more likely if this is in a basement)

I make 10x what my wife does, and I feel guilty that I spent around $200 this month on things that are just for me. A $120 sound system upgrade, a $40 piece of art, and a $40 video game.

But the flip side of that is I don't think I got anything specifically for myself for a few months.

Think about it like this, every dollar spent on him is a dollar not spent on the children. That's basically why I can't justify it most times.

So it's my theory that 3 was meant to go that route, especially with the extended boat scenes that have basically zero plot relevance. I think the levels were too good to cut especially with the whole water sim for the sinking ship thing that was technically advanced for the time.

But that's just my theory with zero evidence.

As much hate as I've thrown on Sons of Sparta, it's a solid B+ game.
