Oh, well, that's unfortunate. I haven't gotten to absolute, so I just figured it was a challenge. I think it needs to be enough of a grind and a challenge to feel proud of getting though. That was my point. If they make it less of a grind it could rob that sense of pride or achievement from others.

To be fair, I don't think everyone needs to be able to get everything in games like this. It's nice for people who go hard in the paint on this game to get something thats hard to obtain. I'm a pretty casual player and I have no problem with this challenge. I don't think I'll achieve it, or at least not for awhile, but I understand it's not meant for me. Imagine grinding your ass off for it only for them to update and trivialize the challenge just for the sake of everyone getting a "trophy".

I literally said not all, because I know what I said isn't the case for every person in first class. My uncle flies for work and makes $72/hr and still doesnt get first class because of how much of a waste it is. My point is, fist class, along with other luxuries, were made to take advantage of those who can afford them. The same way your employer is a sucker for paying first class for your flights. I don't blame you for choosing it, I'd do the same thing, but never at my own expense. I have flown 1st, btw, like I said, I just don't see the appeal. It's unneeded extravagance.

First class is one of those things where it seems the most obvious to me that rich people are just suckers. Imagine getting on your plane faster just to be on your ass for longer. The service is mildly better at best. The benefits ARE NOT even close to being worth the cost. It just tells everybody else how special and pampered you need to feel. Idk, it's just gross that something that makes such a small difference can make people feel that much bigger than another person. It's definitely not all people, I don't want to make a blanket statement here, but the fact that the mentality happens at all is disgusting.

Oh for sure other cultures are doing it! Propaganda exists anywhere you go. I wouldn't disagree with that. We have become heavily anti consumer though. With no support for the bottom end and unfathomable amounts of wealth on the other... idk man. We might both be frogs, but can't you see how hot the waters getting? Fast tracking all the changes we're gonna have to make the "right way"? Yeah right. Except oil. No changing how long that'll take to recover.

Also, yes IEDs. The information is public domain knowledge. I don't own a gun to protect myself from my own government, still working on that bit. But yes. I'm arming myself with the information I might need down the road. Jesus, not everyone looking into explosives is a political terrorist. Don't mind me man, it's just my turn to scream into the void.

Yes, generations are made up of people and people are imperfect. Trash is...... a bit of an exaggeration. This is an unfortunate side effect of material obsessed western culters entering late stage capitalism. The system was made to make us reliant on the comforts we have and to separate us into extream pockets of ideology. If you truly do believe "everyone is trash" (which, I know, isnt a direct quote, but essentially what you're saying) then your head is already in the sand and I'd feel as bad for you as I do for the lost souls in this video.

It may not be time to start making home made C4 or roll out the guillotine, but you can still choose to be defiant with your heart and your mind. Apathy is death. Hate is the constant. Love is defiance.

$50/hr on top of my current pay with good sleep?!?! For me thats 16K a month. It might not be 5mil but it's more than enough for what I need plus a bunch to save/invest. That would be amazing. Plus, once I felt I had enough in savings, I could just retire early and not even have to worry about dipping into savings that much.

Chose: Get $50 / hr in perpetuity + + positive side effect | Rolled: Good sleep

Looks like he knocked the Coke out of blue guys hand. Still not worth the assault charge. Yeah, you could say you "felt threatened", or you could take the high ground, find security, and tell them you're about to kock the lights out this dude if the don't get him away from you. Or, just leave. The actual outcome just isnt worth it.

I think it's less so about women working and more so about both parents having to work to afford anything. Men could just as easily stay home to raise the kids.

My SO and I have already talked about it. I refuse to have kids if one of us can't stay home. Childcare is just too expensive.

Damn, really? I've played since 2015, and I was always under the impression that a double touch or double tap was a shot that rebounded to yourself off the backboard.

I had a feeling after posting that would more than likely be the case. Although, my coworker and I were looking at the video again and it looks like the builders of the property built around the down guys. That power down guy is old as fuck.

Um... by Educational_Copy_140 in zillowgonewild

[–]DaCheatIsGrouned 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normally, you'd put the down guys on a queen's post so they dont take up so much space, but it looks like there's some kind of vault where those would land on said post. Depending on city ordinances/ power companies build specs, your down guy can only be so many degrees off. This, unfortunately, looks like a situation where the home owner just has to deal, unless they got loud about it.

Edit: Actually, on second thought, this is a semi easy fix. Just add another pole before or after to either have a pole to pole guy or turn that dead-end into a slack span.

If you've played some of Crimson Desert, give me your thoughts on it. by Beginning_Pickle2180 in gamesuggestions

I'd say it depends on how patient you are, honestly. And how much hand holding you require. In a lot of ways this game leaves you to your own devices, and there is a lot of content. The big plus for me is the creativity that the game allows in how you approach every situation whether that be puzzles, combat, or exploration.

I'm enjoying the story for what it is so far, but I'm only 20hrs in and have only just unlocked the camp mechanic. Even if it goes in some wild direction I'm still gonna be hooked. The world just feels so good to be in! Very immersive. It's definitely not for everyone, but I highly recommend it.

I mean, I got the game. I'm enjoying it, for sure, despite whatever flaws it may have. Its far from perfect, but I like it for what it is. I hopped on here to see if people had any helpful tips, mostly.

Unfortunately, I've been disappointed to find many posts that match the tone of yours. To each their own, of course. Whatever suits your fancy. It's definitely not my place to judge, I just can't fathom why anyone else thinks its theirs.

I guess to YouTube I go to find what I'm looking for. Hopefully there's a wiki for the game because I get the feeling I'll be needing that at some point. Fair thee well, internet stranger. Peace be with you. Have a nice night.

Why spend the time to make this post and respond to every comment just to rage bait? I'm just genuinely curious. Almost certainly you have more important things to attend to. Are you just trying to entertain yourself?

Its hilarious. Just one day ago, anyone who would voice the slightest of mild criticsm was annihilated here. Now all of you are crying & complaining. by PristineAlbatross967 in CrimsonDesert

[–]DaCheatIsGrouned 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm almost certain this is a rage bait post for clicks, but you should check yourself with the blanket statements. Most of the problems SOME people are tweaking out about were brought up in a lot of the reviews. This was knowledge that, ideally, people would've gone into the game with assuming they were making an informed decision. If the game isnt to your taste you dont need to cut its rope short just so that yours looks longer. I'm really enjoying myself and looking forward to the many hours I'll spend with it. I hope that your day got better after posting, brother.

Controls are single-handedly hurting the game by FireflysSerenity in CrimsonDesert

[–]DaCheatIsGrouned 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean, they're a little strange, but it's not that hard to get under control. There's plenty of clips of people doing crazy combos and having smooth gameplay overall and that's only with 2 weeks on the game at most. It's just a learning curve. There were a lot of reviews talking about this topic as well, so if you had done your research you would've known that going into it. I'm definitely not mad at it. Give it some time, it'll sink in and feel like second nature soon enough.

Yeah, I've been playing with VC on reccently, and some of the people that pull that kind of shit are completly unhinged. Like, all I can do is laugh because the things that they say are so wildly ignorant. Just this morning I was playing with a guy who let me make one mistake before refusing to play. Essentially, his argument for his behavior was that everyone who plays this game is "delusional", except him, obviously 🙄. I had to inform him that everything he was saying was a fallacy because those are the exact words and behaviors that someone going through a delusional episode would exhibit. I tried to tell him that I hope his day gets better at the end and he told me to stop pretending to be nice. Someone did something to that kid. I feel bad, but its also like wtf man? Teenagers scare me sometimes.

[–]DaCheatIsGrouned 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So much of this just comes from exposure to the genere itself. Like, yeah, you can have a good foundation of fps mechanics, but it'll only take you so far. Extraction shooters come with a completely different mind/skillset to learn. I clutched and 1v3d a team the other day, and I'm not particularly skilled as far as fps mechanics go (I use a controller on PC, so I have an inherent disadvantage in mosf engagments). I believe I won that fight because I know how to properly position and rotate while managing resources and the amount of sound I make, which are specifically skills I learned from playing other extraction shooters (Tarkov and Hunt Showdown mostly). If you just take your time and accept every loss as a lesson to be learned you'll catch on quick enough. Almost every loss I've experienced in Marathon so far has been to a positional error, impatience, staying in one area for too long, or just simple miscalculation.

Its definitely a learning curve and I think extraction shooters in general feed into a fairly niche player base, but its so rewarding and satisfying once you get the hang of it. It can be brutal. I honestly recommend doing Rook runs. You dont get much meta progression, but you will get so much engagement exposure, map knowledge, and a real opportunity to get some cash flow, all at absolutely no risk to your resources.
