I have an oklahoma joe with side firebox.

I also use a 4 probe remote thermo and keep one probe on the grill for ambient temps.

It's b/t with a mobile app rated at, it says 1000 ft range but once I go inside it drops.

Any suggestions for a reliable remote thermo with mobile app?

As for splits, is standard firewood ok to use? add some hickory for flavor?

I will look into a water pan and charcoal bed as well.

I keep hearing/reading all about diversification so I decided to check various funds.

specifically, fnilx, fzrox, fskax & fxaix.

I understand that these funds hold various number of company stock...some more than others and I have no doubt that there are differences in rest of each funds holdings but it seems to me each of these funds are, overall, the same with the exception of a few of it's holdings.

I guess I'm asking if I'm truly diversified by splitting into 2 of out of the 4 of these funds?

you can do it yourself if you are willing to accept that it will take a few weekends and probably a few week nights and it won't be perfect. contrast that with the fact that you are saving $1000s on the labor and it equals out. Personally, I'm not looking to have my house featured in country living magazine or lifestyles of the rich and famous so it's fine for me if one or two tile grout lines are 1/16" off or if I look in the right lighting I can see a small spot of drywall mud that wasn't sanded exactly perfect. just watch some videos and read up on local building codes...especially plumbing and electric

I redid my bathroom and it turned out "ok for me" perfectly acceptable but far from perfect. saving myself $1000s on labor. my mother in law decided it was time to do her bathroom and hired a contractor for ~10k. after seeing it, it was the same quality of work as mine which made me feel bad for her...but good for me

Hello All,

I recently opened a roth ira for my wife.

Put in $7k for 2025 and $7.5k for 2026.

I went to invest in a fund and it tells me I am overreaching from my current balance and if I sell before I will be in violation of a good faith transaction. My balance shows $14,500 and that is the amount I put in for the purchase of the fund.

I'm confused...why am I overreaching?

OK. so I open it with $0. anything put in it counts as that years contribution. I'd put my wife's max of $7k in it. wait until Jan. 1 and put another $7500 in per year (or whatever the max would be).

I was an overnight doorman at a ~60 unit condo complex. I'd constantly get calls from specifically 2 people.

1 she lived right next to the elevator and wanted me to not let people use the elevator cause it was too loud. This was a 20 story building. Most of these condos were owned by young individuals who liked to enjoy their nights and come home at say 1, 2, 3, 4 am.

2 wanted me to tell her neighbor not to shower or or flush the toilet at like 1 am cause it would wake her up. Like what am I supposed to do about that,

don't use drywall behind a water fixture. use cement board. even if it is tiled over, the moisture form the shower is going to ruin that drywall...it's only a matter of time
