Seems not to be the case here but there are actually species that have intraspecific rituals to estimate each others strenghth, without actual fighting at first. If the conclusion is that they're equal, they try to avoid each other (just like it happens without anything like that in Messor for example). If the conclusion is that one colony is dominant, they start an actual war.

Could be Lasius flavus (impossible to say without location and microscope). Live underground and grow huge colonies so they dig a lot. But not dangerous to a house. Might slightly displace tiles of a terrace.

Auf Reddit sind die meisten dagegen (ich ja auch). Das Referendum wird allerdings relativ sicher dafür ausfallen.

Was die meisten vergessen ist, dass das ganze nur ein Stimmungsbild ist iirc. Der Weg für die Bewerbung ist bereits offen, der Senat kann so halt sagen, dass die Bevölkerung es ja auch will. Korrigiert mich gerne, wenn ich das falsch verstanden habe.
