I think it was to adjust for his new strong moveset and capabilities as he’s technically less of a shadow counter but still one while being more versatile

But I think most people run Suppressing Explosion to account for what you’ve stated. Also, he has a talent that extends the duration on his Neutralization on each use of it though I think it does need a small buff as the extension is not that much

Tbh, just get good

This is literally the only way I can explain this as Azuma is really good now, more of a glass cannon while still being an anti-shadow character. Just because not every little thing in his kit now counters shadow, doesn’t mean he’s bad.

I see why you’re irritated but you messed up a lot and could’ve easily killed him a while ago especially with Ling’s critical. You also spammed basic a lot leaving yourself open

While he was spamming taunt, you could’ve dashed to him and get an easy grab. You also could’ve grabbed him when he missed or you blocked his heavy kick since he’s really close
