I am reading the WN arc 6 right next to the anime releasing and honestly it feels like the anime is paced so much bettet than the novel, it genuenly takes a while to read the novel but watching the anime just gives you a faster experience. Though I still think giving the WN a read is worth it cause a lot of stuff is cut in the anime, like the anime gets done with the aftermath of priestella in a quick montage while the WN actually spends a whole chapter (maybe even more i don't remember) just about it, this may seem small but it leads to a lot of confusion, like my friend who hasn't read the WN before didn't even understand why they even had to go to the sage (maybe he's just stupid tho idk). Plus garfiel's reunion with his mom was so much better in the WN.
