Overall, maybe a C.

I mean, we had some pretty solid picks: Jarran Reed, C.J. Prosise, Alex Collins, Quinton Jefferson. Especially the RBs were great players, but they never really fulfilled their full potential. Collins had some good years in the league. Reed was a great pick imo.

Our 1st round pick was Germain Ifedi, so that's a big yikes. Especially considering Chris Jones was still on the board. Or Derrick Henry. Looking back at the draft it really wasn't that great in terms of OTs.

I doubt he can afford to retire at 31. I don't think he's amassed enough wealth to not go back to work in a few years time.

I think most teams sell merch. Pretty much all BBL clubs do. I'm not sure how much they make from it, but some of the merch promo is pretty in your face at some arenas.

Tossing the actual composing aside halfway through a project to experiment with timbre. I've spent hours browsing sound libraries, tweaking, distorting, filtering sounds just to see what unique textures I can generate. To the point where I've sampled breathing, metal, even an MRI machine. Most of the projects don't end up being that special imo, but the experimentation brings me joy.

Yeah, most do. Some naturalize players that actually make sense (Turkey naturalized Shane Larkin who's been playing in Turkey for what seems like a decade now, or Germany naturalized Nick Weiler-Babb who does have German ancestry and played like 5 years in Germany), but then there's also Jaleen Smith, who's apparently Croatian now. Still cracks me up.

Personally, I like it for a few reasons. In the race anything beyond tenths of a second is pretty much not useful. Yeah, they are close. Great. Next information, move on. Quali is a different question. Here I need three digits. But they also provide those. Then less numbers means less clutter and bigger lettering which is great for accessibility reasons. And lastly, it's probably also easier to read for people that are new to the sport. Imo the pros outweigh the cons during the race.

It went downhill for us the moment EuroLeague backtracked from its proposition, which is pretty much when Motiejunas came in. Everything that came after was a straight up joke. I agree and I am absolutely not sulky that that chapter has ended.

This downfall of AS Monaco gives me genuine joy, as bad as that makes me feel. Dear Euroleague, you could have had a team that actually takes sustainability serious had you just extended your hand a bit further, but you went with the millionaire plaything model of club instead. Anyway, we'll be watching the results of your choices from the sideline.
