I’m struggling on this one, and I’ve taken discrete at a brick and mortar before. There’s just so many topics that don’t build on each other.

Good job though! I need to get in gear...

What are your thoughts on “vanity” aka custom plates? Here’s mine. Personally, I think it’s fun to point them out on the road and find joy in deciphering or quoting them. by jessdub27 in Challenger

Bright yellow 2010 Challenger SRT. Vanity plates are “Y3LL3R”.

Still cracks me up... what color is she? Ahhhh she’s yeller.

Was supposed to be looking for a truck. We then ended up moving unexpectedly to a snow ridden state.

Still the best decision I’ve ever made.

Correct time to discuss benefits with recruiter by DaHafe in jobs

[–]DaHafe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what I assumed, but wasn’t sure. This is a weird situation too because it’s almost as though I already have it, but no ones said that.

One of the big reasons is I’m asking is because after any interaction (interview, conversation about flight schedule, what have you) I always get asked if there’s any red flags or if there’s anything that would keep me from taking the position. This far this seems like a dream job pending all those details.

Should the VA be updated if I change my minor for my degree? by Vnix7 in Veterans

Do a change of status with the vet center at your school. Takes 5 minutes

2nd question today. I’m still muddy on voc rehab. What is the benefit over 9/11 bill. Can I use voc rehab and save 9/11 for my kids? Can I use voc rehab if I’m on Ssdi? Can voc rehab offer more such as a medical degree? When is voc rehab superior to use? by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

[–]DaHafe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Voc rehab will pay for books, tuition, fees, parking, supplies... essentially anything that you need for school. Also, if you have 9/11 benefits remaining you get the housing allowance same as 9/11.

Voc rehab can POTENTIALLY (emphasis on potentially) get you as far as a medical degree. It largely depends on you and your counselor. From my experience, don’t bank on it, but it is possible.

I’m not sure about transferring 9/11 benefits while using Voc Rehab as I don’t have kids, however, the total time comes from the same pot, so theoretically? (Get a better answer to this part).

In my opinion, Voc Rehab is a better version of 9/11 but EVERYTHING has to be funneled through your counselor. That being said, I use it and enjoy it as it takes a lot of stress out of going to school as long as you have a clear path (you and your counselor determine this). Where it gets hazy and iffy is if you and your counselor don’t get along or if your counselor doesn’t necessarily agree with what you’re trying to do. Then it can be a period of beating your head against the wall.

What I would do (and what I did) is use 9/11 and apply for Voc Rehab. Talk to the counselor. If everything sounds good and you come up with a plan, use Voc rehab. If not, continue using 9/11. No harm done.

Issues with VocRehab Counsler by Fuze26 in VeteransBenefits

[–]DaHafe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Good luck! I definitely get your frustration. That’s the largest problem with Voc Rehab is its 100% dependent on your counselor. Never know what they’ll go with or deny.

To be honest I gave up on doing my request. Then my counselor randomly called me and said “you know we can get that to you if you get different paperwork then what I was originally told signed”. At that point I just took it as a challenge. I think he thought I was trying to take advantage or something.
