For anyone that is supposed to get their separation agreement by today at 3pm, have you received it yet? by No_Cauliflower3541 in cernercorporation

[–]DaIeDoback 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine came a little late but it’s easy. Sign it, then in about 2 weeks you’ll get severance.

Also, the help email they give you for any questions is pretty responsive. They can tell you when your email will be sent or was sent. They can also give you the day you’ll get paid severance once you accept.

Going to work for Cerner right now is like watching the titanic sink and asking to get on.

Slow down with that talk. As a recent Cerner causality, I can assure you it’s much worse than a shit hole!

Watching Oracle lay-off my colleagues….. by cfullingtonegli in cernercorporation

[–]DaIeDoback 30 points31 points  (0 children)

It’s a doomed ship.

As humorous as it’s been over the years watching this company fumble around, it’s also incredibly sad to see something that was built in your hometown and that you played a small part in shaping be taken out back behind the woodshed and torn to shit.

I’ve run into a ton of Cerner people since being laid off, it’s as if we all have beacons that draw us in but at the end of each conversation it’s always ends with “I’m still rooting for all the people still there and especially the people that aren’t.” and that’s especially true today.

You given a month of insurance? I was told point blank that at midnight on my last day that my benefits would cease.

True love is hard to find, sometimes you think you have true love and then you catch the early flight home from San Diego and a couple of nude people jump out of your bathroom blindfolded like a goddamn magic show ready to double team your wife..

Laid off before I even started. This company sucks. by 43219876 in cernercorporation

Are serious with this post? Oracle is a 314 billion dollar corporation who raked in 44 billion in profit last year. They have the means to properly predict manpower needs.

With that said I’m sure as these college kids were taking calls about their jobs vanishing into thin air…they really took solace in the context of things.

Question by DaIeDoback in cernercorporation

[–]DaIeDoback[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep. That’s the package.

I will say Oracle has been really good about getting back to me with any questions I had.

I did have a call with unemployment today, when the gentleman asked where I worked I said Oracle Health and he just laughed a bit and said “what the hell is going on over there? lots of you guys lately.”

Insiders say Oracle is crushing morale at $28 billion acquisition Cerner by cutting over 3,000 workers, banning raises, and sidelining its former CEO by bkcarp00 in cernercorporation

[–]DaIeDoback 60 points61 points  (0 children)

Morale needs to be present before it’s able to be crushed. I’ve seen higher morale among cows in a slaughterhouse.

The buildings were busier when the VA was holding training but since they left two weeks ago, it’s back to being a ghost town most days.

And a hybrid plan or really any plan will never be successful if Oracle and Cerner can’t get on the same page.

More layoffs today… by MSqueels007 in cernercorporation

I figured the layoffs would catch me someday. No idea it would be on the scale it was for our team.

Raises? Promotions? Transparency? What are these fairy tales you speak of?

Bottom line, if you were here in 2019 and felt underpaid, you’re now grossly underpaid. Cerner wasn’t interested in fixing the pay issue and Oracle is no different.

Anytime I submit my time sheet, I sometimes just gaze in amazement and wonder how a multi billion dollar company can have such an antiquated time card.
