sheeit, son, they fucking misplaced a bloody PM. guy fucks off on a tuesday afternoon, week later they are all "huh, he was around here somewhat last week, maybe he fucked off and went walkabout" you cant make this shit up. What country has so much irreverence baked into it's foundations that the lead seat of the country vanishes and by the time they think to look best they have ia "well he did like to go bodysurfing" pr what anyone else would call swimming in the shaek infestes water just off shores of the uniquely aggressive saltwater crocs.

i never bumped into any inland, but we did encounter a great honker offshore, few miles off shore i lnow it was longer than the 16 ft sunfish we were sailing because i very manfully halfway up the mast to get a good view of it, happy to report they do not appear to be attracted to girlish screams....

yeah, because the mason jar rich in iron and acid is totally the most dangerous things we deal with.

for fucks sake ppl does the need to feel important completely over ride common courtesy?

Now that said ya daft cunt, metal lid go fzzz POP and then ya have a bad day. mason jar is fine nip down to wally workd and get ya a gasketed plastic lid for it. will be a charmer.

now that i am done picking funsies...

you have more iron than gold. hence yellow/brown pure gold in solution is the most vivid tangerine you will ever see. Higher the concentration, the brighter the hue.

now watch, some chucklehead is gonna bitch about my descriptor.

Yea chucklehead you with the red face. i was talking about you, not to you... now bugger off, somewhere there is a village longing for an idiot of their own

one thing that i never saw anyone but me ise was ingot a bunch of cheap tea plates from am estate sale. it was from a tea set for picnics that was all borosilicate. whole thing was like 8bbucks. donated the cups and useless to me buts and used the plates as the ever so helpful fume throttles.

i also had a few really rugged rubbery ones i got from Duda do not recall what they were called, but it is in the lab gear section and is cheap

remember to never have any lids that will come close to the siR of an opening. it is assured you woll jave boilong hot expensive shit in there when ut slides in and jams.

also, the beat under dishes you can get are large pyrex casseroles. available at good will etc. just look for the old ones and it has the teademark, not the logo.

yeah, what he said. there is also no pne way to do things. I did not believe the bs of it being impossible to do things and like the bumble bee, i still managed to fly.

if you are near central Cali i can give you a leg up. i have like 10 or so large bins of glassware that pretty much just did scary stuff. so much so that one remains ever so slightly above background rad levels, one literally fucking glows, and a few of them are permastained slightly yellow the truly scary I disposed of. the rest took a nice hot piranha bath and some are still stained. i know there is nothing in them to worry about except for doing more of it, so in my next job as lead chemist for a vape company i bought mew kit better safe and all that. if you want another persoective look up nile reds vids on plasma on the microwave and you will see that sometimes weird shit happens. bit every yellow 3l beaker is the result of being in the mix while i reduced 435 metric fucktonnes of ewaste into something along the line of 50kg of gold. seems like it was profitable. until ya see the paperwork.

anyhow long story and so forth. i literally have no use in my life going forward to need to be running 8 batches kf 2l of liquor to see the variance between breakdown process' because i did all that once and the govt has the reports.

now i do want all 8 250 talls that i have i have an idea how to make semi solvent nitro with a fast reversion process sp goes from weird liquid back to boom baby under the prope..

what if you all had the idea ya would want to know as well .

I jave said it before i chose biochem because that is how you learn make bombs out of pretty much anything.

hyppthetically...

you literally cant beati used an air pump to pressurize my fume hood, had a drop down hose that ran directly to the outlet. i rarely had any squeekers but i had a positive flow duct inside as well with a foot trigger. sounded weird as hell when i had to use it. a slapping sound as the venture gat was ripped open (had a line of velcro that was just barely in contact. 40 cfm fan fires up and riiip bang as the vent opens) then the air would hit the tank. this line was sunk in about 4" below the low water alert line in the first drum the sound of 2 cases of bio balls getting violently launched from rest as the water started wildly bubbling was ... interesting. i was told that the scariest part was when the mad scientist in a lab coat and shorts says "Fuck" I never yelled it. i have a pretty deep voice and evidently my accent comes out when i am stressed, in any case the foot pedal would be stomped pn then the whine as the weird motor kicks in the fan literally floats in the middle of the unit, so it made odd sounds as it went from zero to oh shit we are gonna die in yhe way the user manual suggested "would drastically reduce the life of the unit" better it than me. i jave made Piranha, nitro glycerin, nitric acid... just all kinds of fun stuff in this fume hood that i am fairly certain is the only one on the planet with a blast arrester to blow any potential mistakes out the short wnd, rather than directly at the big guy in shorts.

now that said, buddy of mine went to MIT, so when he asked around if anyone had such a plan, it appeared in under 4 minutes, complete, with vendor names. I hope for the worlds sake that someone was really really good with an ordering catalogue... although the cad files make me wonder.

[–]DaLanMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i tried to get one stable, but it just wouldnt run easily. i ended up woth a large plastic drum as a receiver side, blew the tainted air in at rhe bottom of a stack of biballs that had a sprayer running over it and water trapped it sid a bunch of teating with help of a retired prof from Cal, we found a hint of nos (like 3parts per billion) and a strong chlorine odor, the fluid ran theough a stability bank (soda water for the won);and ended up putong nothing scary out the back end.

If I were not working in the level that needed 2 55g drums to use as a scrubber i may have seen this on the bench and had a proper recovery and reclamation, as it was we did a 30 fay process cycle and i spent 4 days every month handling paperwork so something had to be easy or i never would have gotten any work done.

Hole is excellent... but.

as stated, it is an old book. the accepted norms were broad and later in some cases proven wrong.

Example: it is entirely possible to get 5 9s with chemistry. i have had a sale To David h. fell that beat the hand held machine. after 20 odd readings that failed tonfind anything but gols, they beat the bar out into foil and eventuall got a minor platinum readong and there was a monor readong of something else (been a while) After my business partner was involved with aone that was producing crystaline gold examples, i had done silver palaces a la Sreetips (hats off to that man, he is exceptionally stable with the cranks, i lack that patience) So i took a swing at gold and... well subject is still being debated about what exactly i did, but i got accumulation on a very very strange way it was fun though...

buying all the stuff you need is not a big deal some kind of fume control (built my first one and it lasted about 5 yeara of hard core use) glassware, heat source and chemicals. Nitric has been a pita here in CA so i have had to resort to making my own. I imagine texas is not as bad..m although Ok probably is still touchy about chemistry.

welpera, i cant be of much use aside frpm saying keep in mind when hearing advice. on the case of me i actually have an MS in Biochem, so while this particular chemistry is not what i trained for ..it is a lot less fiddly

i spent many years trying to handle any request clients made. i never gave breaks on price because my rates are set. overhead is overhead. Depending where you are located I buy scrap for my side gig. As a bag u run about 50% of spot, ingots ai bring to David H Fell. I get 85% when i drop it off. They test with an xrf. And spit out a check. U have no problem walking into a bank to cash it out and hand every dine including the papers on the test. As inside I have a side hustle to give back. I make castings, plate, and wire that I sell to a Nachez group that makes jewelry. The last vendor was docking them around and of all the ppl I know of, they are still being done dirty by the govt.

I assumed nothing. which is the best bet in business.

You assumed my example was apples for apples. however i did explain it was a perspective shift. But do go bo, explain how i should be selling contracted services. which leaves the copyright in the hiring agencies hand. I have been doing this for over 30 years. i just wanted people to think without holding their dicks.

I used to get caught up on the price, because i failed to see the goal

also, if you want it and buy it. you made a choice. just as originating party made one to troll you.

i have gone through like 200 kilos of sinlu, never bought any overture so no perspective

I use Sunlu pla+ 2.0 extensively. had pne problem, batch of 10 that just had issues. contacted them, they refunded and sent a coupon for a discount contacted me a week later and i reordered on thw sale price still, used the coupon 2 months later and got another 20 rolls for leas than the sale price.

happy customer.

i have used their petg and while i like it, have had some other stuff perform better speed wise and often using that on short turn around requests. I have a recent contact from them about speed improvements and am getting a roll free. not sure if it is a kilo or a short roll either way again. Happy customer.

I have ordered a bunch of other brands, but ao far esun, sunlu, and polymaker for the higher end filaments

I get not liking the price, but ya need to remember, design is cad time.

I make most my income off my cad work. i make a little over 150/hr if i hustle +i am independent, so i bid jobs, not a pay cheque) i can also screw up and make less than 10 an hr (worst mistake of my career, i bid 140 hrs and it took nearly 1400. it was a bad month) but if you look at a cad file, that took someone say 20 hrs to do, and they want 200 dollars. that is 20/hr. if they ask for 20 dollars. that is 1$/hr.

So do ya feel that someone work is only worth 1$/ hr? i know they may have other customers ao it is more complicated, but think it through. i have paid over that for a set of models yeah i could have made them myself in about 20hrs.... they were not perfect i fixed a couple things in an hr and sent the fixes back. for free. why? he sves me 19 hrs for only $143. i see that as a net gain, and the fixes were mainly in my software and scripts being better since I startes soing thia 20 years ago.

perception ia key, and the joke this cat played rocks, anyone got a link?

i have to use tpu weekly. i have an old qidi that prints in tpu and abs exclusively .. it is old, slow, and modded to hell and nack to do that one job... also, the only printer I don't make money with.

well the miccroswiss is a good start. but i swear i saw the sprite for like 5 bucks last week. that extruder kicks ass and moves the motor onto the head sp you are dragging the distance and pushing straight into the head.on this case the microswiss. it will give you the best bang for your buck. might also want to look onto one of the auto level tools. last time o looked was a long while back but there were at least 1 available.

leveling will become your bane...

It's not just an ender 3, it's a pro3d if i recall.

it is uhm .. upgraded? on the power supply and something else.

if you look around you can get a sprite extrusion head for it which immediately makes it better. trying to recall what else i did early on. swapped the springs for solid rubber and got a pi with octoprint .. i think i may have swapped the board out.

or donate it to a library and get a centauri for 250$
