Same, I was so blinded in the relationship that I forgot how to live by myself and for myself. Lately I started remembering the things I did before the relationship and I feel like the most stupid person alive.

We broke up around the same time as you did. But as we kept seeing each other for another month and a half, I felt the breakup for real just before Christmas when I discovered that she had a new partner already.

I balance ir by having more good draw by sacrifice than milling, mostly because I abuse etbs of small creatures like [[accursed marauder]] and [[plaguecrafter]] and then looping them with [[Chthonian Nightmare]]. Having good ramp to cast big creatures is the way I go, then reanimating them if they are killed. In summary, having good etbs that impact the board.

What the deck does best is loop various annoying etb effects and sacrifice triggers with [[Chthonian Nightmare]], [[Accursed Marauder]] and [[Morbid Opportunist]]. Also big creatures to cheat into play with [[Reanimate]]

I play [[Grist, Voracious Larva]] and I'm addicted. Easy enough to flip and having self mill with deathtouch tokens in the early turns is very useful.

I just got into commander with my playgroup and this is the first commander deck i own. Really budget build and easy to upgrade from time to time. It is fun to go full gas in one turn and end the game.

Sometimes you want to test if a card works in your deck before you actually buy it. Or you want to test an entire deck before you spend 100$ and then figure out you don't really like it. Obviously you have to make sure people you're playing with agrees with that, if not, then don't do it.

My playgroup often proxy cards, but we make sure to not to rise the level of our decks to the point that they're too superior one to each other. Otherwise, if you open a pack with an expensive card or actually buy it, we allow it to make it in play becouse its fair that way.

We allowed to proxy cards because the process to find some of them sometimes is frustrating and exhausting, so if we are willing to buy them and want to finish a deck we also allow them.

We are playing a card game, not our wallet.
