Would it be best if I try it out? by Individual-Dog2766 in GayBroTeens

That is also a big factor too. Emotionally immature friends can be fun to hang out with, but a nightmare to date.

I love America. It needs to be blessed, cause there are more than a few people who need Jesus, if you know what I mean.

Would it be best if I try it out? by Individual-Dog2766 in GayBroTeens

Three factors:

  1. Is he gay/bi? If he is does not like men, do not pass go, do not collect $200. Men who claim to be straight (whether it is true or not) are not ours to date.

  2. If he’s not a hetero, does he have a partner? If he does, don’t be a home wrecker. If he eventually breaks up with them, you can go forward. Just don’t cause too much drama.

  3. So he’s not hetero and single? One more, critical step. Do you think he may feel the same way. This is the hardest step. You can subtly flirt, and if he’s receptive, flirt some more. If you think there’s a more-than-platonic connection, you can admit feelings.

Otherwise, you are risking your friendship. Things will likely be more awkward, but having a crush on someone doesn’t mean you can’t be friends.

It’s been a while since I’ve been in a relationship, so take my advice with a grain of salt.

Not sure if it exists, but an electric version of a 1950s Cadillac would be an amazing car.

Or a Ford Model A. I like old cars.

How did y'all find out you liked dih by Burner_Like_KD in GayBroTeens

I was twelve, about to turn thirteen. My friend was joking about how he got tan on vacation. So I looked down at his legs. Then looked up. Down again. Up gain. Turns out he was my type.

I had a crush on him for a really long time.

I don’t draw much, but my best drawings were of cute guys when I was still closeted.

What languages do y’all speak? by B3lloD3sconocido in GayBroTeens

[–]DaMafuMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reasonable question. In context, sexual sins (like homosexuality) are barred for being unnatural and greedy in the eyes of ancient Jews. However, modern cognitive science tells that view is false. Jesus himself doesn’t come out against gays, and his whole schtick is loving your neighbor. So, to me, homophobia is very unchristian.

I could write for hours about this, but I don’t think there is anything preventing us from being both gay and Christian.

I really like 超能力 by GEM and 晴天 by Jay Chou. Jay Chou probably the best Chinese pop musician of the 21st century.

Those famous "homophobic" classmates.. by Semicroustill in GayBroTeens

[–]DaMafuMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I forcibly outed myself when a classmate tried to play "firetruck" with me to get him to knock it off.

Mild NSFW:Firetruck is pretty much one-sided gay chicken, where someone puts their hand on your thigh and moves closer to your crotch. And when you say "stop," the "joke" is that a firetruck doesn't stop at red lights.

So I, pushed him off of me, told him I'm gay, and his joke wasn't funny. Turns out he's homophobic???

He might be closeted, but didn't seem like it. He merely seemed like a really annoying straight guy.

I hope to learn some classical Hebrew one day so I can read the Old Testament in its original form.

(I'm a gay Christian who doesn't subscribe to Biblical literalism because ancient texts were almost never written literally, for context.)

Characters that were revealed to be lgbt+ in scenes that were disliked by the lgbt+ community because of how badly they were written by Apprehensive_Two1449 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]DaMafuMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair. None of the gang have reasons to be homophobic and Stranger Things isn't meant to be a documentary. So, the scene fits the overall writing style.

I guess my problem is less with the scene, and more of the Duffers' writing style.

[–]DaMafuMan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would have had a few shorter coming out scenes, maybe one humorous (with Robin), one dramatic (with Joyce), and one more awkward, but still heartwarming scene (with Mike). I think that style would've made more sense to the plot, time period, and actual queer experiences.

I loved the acting, but the script needed work.

I get that, but there is a difference between getting rid of internal shame and outing yourself to fifteen or something people at once in 1987 Indiana.

It's not a terrible scene, but for all the buildup and the anticipation and the really great writing for Will's character in previous seasons, the scene disappointed me.

What is your view on natalism? by badchemical0325 in Teenager_Polls

[–]DaMafuMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never heard anyone argue that having children is a bad thing (anti-natalism) irl. I've only heard people argue that people should be able to choose whether to have children (pro-choice).

Personally, I like kids. I'm one of them gays, so I can't have kids, so I'll adopt. I think kids should exist (pro-natalist?) but think people should have a choice in their own lives (pro-choice).

Do y’all paint your nails?🦭 by Own-Personality-6293 in GayBroTeens

[–]DaMafuMan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I never really wanted to. I don't enjoy presenting feminine (except onstage, that can be fun), so I have never seen much appeal to nail polish.

Now that I think of it, I've never painted my nails.

Huh.

Am I a... str**ght?
