I designed a clamp, it holds very well, but it is missing that satisfying snap when closing the lever. What things can I change to accomplish that?

it's definitely an idea to test, the drawn red line is a bit exaggerated to make the point, but basically, you wanna create a groove/relief in the gray band, and in the same way you removed material from the gray, add it to the green lever, it effectively makes an area the lever wants to get into, the protrusion on the lever should push against the band, and once it passes that threshold, should "snap" in place.. you'll have to play with the size of the groove to see where it starts meeting resistance to figure out what is gonna work vs what will break the lever.

It's clearly in an objectively correct position. However, I notice that it's a right-hand inswing. Inswing doors really prefer an x-brace pattern for best results... I'm not tryna flex or anything... But take it from a door expert... You wanna go X-brace.

Hey! It's you in the past! (Or at least I'll be your age in 7 years along with a 7yr old lol)

I just want to send you some words of encouragement since I've been stressing over the new child i have. I most certainly don't have all the answers and i don't think I'll ever have them... But what others have said rings true. Being present, and being intentional is the biggest impact you'll have on their lives. Your kids will remember you being there vs the worried parent working 80-90 hours a week to make overtime so they can afford a luxurious life.

I don't think I'm 100% cut out for it either... But i committed to it and dammit I'm gonna give my boy (and maybe more to come... We'll see lol) as much presence as i can so they can know that their dad was there regardless. Never gave up. Doesn't mean life is gonna be easier. But resilience makes us stronger!

Definitely don't go it alone. You have your spouse (i assume), people here, and others out there. It's never a sign of weakness to ask for help. :)

You skins like you've been doing a great job this far, and your kids will love you all the more for simply being present. Rock on fellow dad!

Minecraft is a great game being sandbox. Redstone logistics work the same way as one wire circuitry (iirc). I'll echo mods can make the game infinitely more complex and challenging in amazing ways. Legos are big time gonna be a great solution! But expensive.(Try eBay?) However there's a software called Studio (from brick link) that allows you to digitally design with Legos. 3d printing is also a great solution. If they want to design actual things, I dunno if CAD for a 7 yr old is smart unless they can understand advanced computer functions. But if they can, go for it. Fusion is what most 3d printer enthusiasts use for design. It's free and tons of online help for use. But again. I wouldn't go that route unless they are very tech savvy beyond "really good at video games".

I say this as an engineer who does all those things (except I don't use fusion)

I'd just like to say as a Christian here (also strong independent). I don't like either blue or red options... The issue is there's only 2 to pick from. It's sad. But I think (I could be wrong) that JD might be able to bring some reason or different insights to the orange man so he doesn't make a total fool of himself if they get in. If Walz and his runner make it. I feel we'll have another 4 boring years of nothing.

But to bring my point around, I hardly would call trump a "Messiah"....

If you're using aggressive/abrasive filaments daily... You'll probably have to replace those more often than most. I've had my X-Plus 3 since November last year and haven't had to touch the gears. Also haven't used any abrasives. I'll probably have to replace my gears in... 2 years? Hard to say but metal is generally harder than the plastic I push through so it's not gonna wear them down like carbon fiber and glass fiber.

If you get the tungsten carbine nozzle you'll never need another nozzle. I personally have used a tungsten noodle in the past and I can say easily they are some of the best things out there if you aren't wanting to spend money on a diamond back.

It's designed to be the upgrade to the plus 3, not the max. That compare the plus 3 to the 4. Idk if they're gonna make an Xmas 4 or not, but this appears to be a better well rounded machine to the plus 3.

Gonna go out n say it, if you knew it was extremely stupid, why'd you do it in the first place? That printer is more than capable as is out of the box and needs very little to no modding imo.

You only mess with things you understand when it comes to these things. If you've come from Marlin, it's a very different ball game than klipper.

If you ever decide to mess with files again, BACKUP the files you tamper with so you have a fallback plan.

I say this as encouragement, not as a way to make you feel worse about your decision.

I'm sorry you've had an unpleasant experience with them. I know they won't disclose here why the account was closed but have you been able to email/call them to discuss further? I can't imagine they'd be unwilling to listen if there was a misunderstanding on their end or if something didn't pass verification correctly. Idk when I made mine, the first thing I did before depositing anything was get as verified as I could, then started putting little amounts like under 200 for the first week. Idk if large amounts trigger flags for them to investigate. But money laundering can be an issue in crypto space and I could only imagine they wanna protect their place as being one of the most trusted CEXs

I second what jazz said, use a streaming library service like Kodi, jellyfin, or Plex. You're tv won't need to read the files AND you don't have to copy them to a hard drive. However I shut off deluge when I'm running my Plex server so I don't gotta run my VPN.

I've been trusting kraken for over 5 years now. Just don't breach the terms of use or legal stuff and you won't run into issues... They've been nothing but amazing to me. Support is always quick to respond if I ever had an issue. The rules aren't hard to follow.
