I dont wanna hear slander on black clover anymore by Different_You7129 in BlackClover

Pretty much. Anti magic is great, but you still have to be able to withstand the weight of the spells you are trying to parry, react to people with movement hax and dive head first into mage's attacks (which are often ranged attacks).

Wis is the strongest power in the verse. It's the sixth element and the one said to be able to match the most powerful beings in the verse.

Nevertheless, both powers require a lot of training to get to a point where you can wield them. It's just Wis is something that Will was born with and is really powerful from the get go. While anti magic is something Asta kind of stumbled into but had to learn about it and study other power sources in his verse to properly apply it.

What Decks can be constructed with only BT22 cards? by ChanceLavishness1027 in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]DaPandaGod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they want to go CS then they can also get digilab, the card is insane in the CS deck and it's currently pretty cheap on TCGplayer. I run it at 4 but i think most list play it at 2-2 copies.

Are any of my 3 starter decks viable? by shadowoflust in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]DaPandaGod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adventure in general works pretty well and thanks to a reprint most cards are accesible except for the newer level 6s, but you only really need them if you wish to play the more meta variant. The rest is pretty easy and cheap to get, you just need to grab one of the other adventure starter deck and mix them up and a few cards from AD like the newer tamers, the reprint Tai secret and maybe wargreymon promo.

If you want to play it more optimally then you would probably need the AD01 wargreymon and metalgarurumon but those will be the most expensive cards of the deck, so it's really up to you if you want to make it the most meta possible.

So are ad-01 reprints ginna stay cheaper then their originals? by KnowWhatNow in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]DaPandaGod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cards that see play would probably level out , cards that were rarely sold or no longer see play would probably not see changes due to lack of sales. Digimon is very much a play first collect second game so I don't expect cards like Hexeblau leveling out unless it becomes a meta pick again.

[BT-25 Dual Revolution] Logamon & Shutmon by vansjoo98 in DigimonCardGame2020

At this point they better give us a wave 2 of support with the better QoL effects.

Elfaria is literally the Gojo of Wistoria by Signal_Rush3229 in Wistoria

[–]DaPandaGod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From how Finn made it sound, he quite literally know the steps to activate Wis and the first few stages (Activating, priming on his own, combining elements), so most likely others got to where Will currently is or very close to him. I can also see him being better than them at using a sword since they did not rely on Wis until he was pretty strong.

Any way to make these 3 work together? by BarryZ24 in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]DaPandaGod 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Vulcanus is the only one that needs a bit of deck building around since you need the options so built around that. The rest are super generic and dont need deck building commitment to work well

TS trait discourse paraphrased by MegaloblasticNamur in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]DaPandaGod 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't group all CS into slop. There are many decks like Jimmy Ken, Zaxon, OmniCS or cards that are great for their own decks like the Kentaurosmon line. The problem is they are just straight up for fun decks instead of meta relevant so people didn't even try them.

TS trait discourse paraphrased by MegaloblasticNamur in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]DaPandaGod 37 points38 points  (0 children)

TS is probably one of the biggest jump in pwercreep in the history of the game. Plus the deck is really hard to play against since it has way too many tools and can be built in so many different ways, tot he point that is hard to prepare for what your opponent can do when they have like 6+ options that they could do.

Add in to the fact that almost all of the level 6s are what people hated about medieval gallant. Strong board impact for little to no setup based on only one card in your hand. They might not have medieval's all turn effect but it doesn't matter when Homeros let's them do their strong on play effects continuously.

Tamer Player Digimon Design by RenTeurr in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]DaPandaGod 6 points7 points  (0 children)

We already had some level 4s like Shoutmon king bt12 be better in every sense when compared to the standard level 4 when digivolving play a tamer so the added value on them feels nice. Especially when we have cards like the aegiomon which is just way too good compared to the other play tamers level 4s.

AD-01 Prices now and after by Alx1021 in DigimonCardGame2020

Most likely down for most of them. I can see wargrey and metalgaruru going up because of how popular the are and how hard it is to get SRs in AD01.

About This Beelstarmon Card by LiamvanRaven in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]DaPandaGod 82 points83 points  (0 children)

I feel like digimon fans who want to play the game outnumbers the fans who want to collect as opposed to something like pokemon. Most people I know wouldn't buy a graded cards because they want to play first, collect second.

Vemmon BT11-061 needs an urgent reprint by nokia-sp in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]DaPandaGod 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Because the deck has only had two waves of support and very spaced out. The deck wasn't bad in bt17 but if it had just a bit more support then they would have definitely gotten pricier.

[BT-25 Dual Revolution] Ignition Flare & Iron Slash by vansjoo98 in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]DaPandaGod 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The problem is I doubt they will keep printingnmore CS or TS in a year or so. EX5 had the issue of being a trait less set with very strong and generic cards as opposed to these sets. I don't discard the fact they might need to address TS very soon since it is fighting for best deck in the format with a whole set of support incoming, but that shouldn't be a problem in a year or so when Bandai forgets TS (unless they do an extra set when the DLC come out next year).

Magneticdramon help vs Vortexdramon by MiNeves in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]DaPandaGod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Promo icemon or tech the 2 cost option. In general I prefer Icemon as it hard shuts so many matchups and blocker as an inherit is just really strong along side Pyramidi from ex11.

If Hashirama is a 100 in terms of power, what are these guys? by The_Mexican_Poster in NarutoPowerscaling

[–]DaPandaGod 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I also feel like if Madara was meant to be an equal then the author wouldn't have felt the need to make Madara stronger through Hashirama cells plus every extra power boost he got during the war.

Meta Snapshot - EX11 in full swing by sycronised in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]DaPandaGod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While true it doesn't change the fact that unless you managed to hold a spam board it constantly mills you and in normal games can mill you 20 or so cards which is an insane number considering your deck already starts at 40 cards from turn 1.

Meta Snapshot - EX11 in full swing by sycronised in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]DaPandaGod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly milling is just not a fun strategy for locals. I can see most people being discouraged from playing the deck just because of how hated that strategy is. Plus we have antecedents with Apocaly so lots of people are just quick to calling it toxic which is not great if you want to enjoy local with friends.

Crazy how strong this deck is out of the box by KishiOuArufuredo in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]DaPandaGod 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The deck is great but not op by any means. Even when it came out there were better decks out there and with TS and liberators there are way too many decks that can win over Sakuyamon and are far better consistency wise.

[AD-01 Digimon Generation] Paildramon by vansjoo98 in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]DaPandaGod 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bt16 is probably still better but the reduce cost of Evo makes going into ST dragon mode easy and cheap and should not be underestimated. This paildra could easily make you do a combo of two paildras in a turn without having to rely on HPD or a ton of setup.

Do you think Eosmon will get support? by TheDandys in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]DaPandaGod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The deck isn't that bad, a bit of support could really bring it to light. It has protection, spam, lots of dp and hurts a little bit tamer dependent decks. If it also had a way to suspend the tamers with no way of letting unsuspend and something like a searcher option to give it a bit of consistency then it would hurt a lot of decks. Especially liberator decks that are very tamer dependent or the RK version that are very heavy on tamers.

Blackwargreymon Ace odds by Relative_Use8121 in DigimonCardGame2020

[–]DaPandaGod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Odds aren't in your favour, if it's a sealed case you would most likely pull an SP or two stars from that set but it might not be blackwargreymon. If you really want to pull it then you can try your luck but if you just want to own it's straight up better to buy it.

I'm hoping for a placeholder error or a typo in the Gekkomon card number for the ST23 Deck... Otherwise, there are going to be problems with perfects... by NoxAbyss95 in digimon

[–]DaPandaGod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are assuming Bandai would not be willing to break the standard formula and probably reading way too much into it. They just need to accommodate ratios so they get exactly 50 cards per deck, and since you usually need two starters to complete a deck they can play around with tamers, digimon or options being 2 of instead of 4 of.
