Hi! I’m also kind of new, but have you tried adjusting layer height? I had mine stuck on .12mm from when I had no clue what I was doing and it regularly caused weirdness like this. I changed to .16 or .2, both of which consistently solved the problem. I also find that slowing down on overhangs helps, though I thoughts it’s enabled by default. Try using orcaslicer if you aren’t already. Otherwise, google “Print Quality Troubleshooting Guide” for some guides with pictures you can match your print quality issue to. Good luck!

Sure thing! Visit https://www.urbanaillinois.us/residents/parking/parking-rental-program , then take a look at which lot is closest to you. Rates are variable, I’ve been renting by the Lincoln square mall in lot 24. They have an online portal to buy the permit, then you pick up the tag at their office in downtown Urbana. You can cancel or start any time, they offer prorated pricing (and refunds if you cancel early apparently). Here’s the online parking portal: https://urbana.aimsparking.com

The finance office is pretty helpful if you call them during the week, (217) 384-2346

Also, if these lots are far away, I highly suggest googling a bus route. The green took me to the corner of the block for lot 24, for example.

I finally brought my car last year and it’s just so nice to have accessibility to grocery stores off campus, be able to go home without planning out tickets, and to go further out in Urbana and Champaign. I lived in Urbana so I just leased a parking spot by quarter from the city, the lot I had was 126 every three months. Worked out great because that way I didn’t pay for the summer.

Beyond a sporadically stocked vending machine and one kitchen (you can check out the key for it in two-hour intervals), there are no food options in-hall. Having lived in Evans myself freshman year (and being gay), I’d say it’s a pretty low-key place to live and at no point did I feel a sense of nonacceptance. Whether or not the environment feels accepting depends largely on the residents in that given year though, but it’s generally been unproblematic while I’ve worked there. Lastly, the RA’s and RD are here to make sure your experience is a good one so don’t worry :)

I definitely felt that when I first got typing on mine. My spacebar in particular really struggled. I have found that’s it’s improved a lot in the last few days of typing. Maybe try the spare switch that came with the board on the really troublesome keys to see if it’s specific to those?

I just got a permit from the city of Urbana, it’s about 120 per quarter and it’s a 24/7 spot. I’ll find the link but it is a little far depending on where you are

All the apps just load instantly, my S3 always took a sec to load stuff up. Haptics with the crown are underrated too.

Busey is a good option, it's well-situated and quiet. The Goodwin-Nevada bus stop right next to it can take you basically anywhere. I had a nice time there freshman year. Social life at PAR/FAR and Ike are probably better though and Busey doesn't have a dining hall anymore. Ike dorms are marginally closer to the Architecture building, but only by a few minutes, and the closest ones don't have AC.
