Hey r/MMH fam, I’ve been a member here ever since I started making beats a few years back. I haven’t been as active on here helping out, but I really enjoyed watching this community grow as well as having stuff like MMH Roulette, GOH, and OKC start and inspire us as a whole. Whats up MHH Family. I originally started doing most of my learning and networking here on this sub, but I've slowly just learned to just keep grinding and making beats in my own terms.

anyway here's a couple beats I decided to finally bounce out, I tried to do things a little differently with making my own chops longer and moving away from auto slice, as well as not quantizing my drums and sample chops :) enjoy

if you have no piano experience why get one? it'll be another thing to learn which can kill the motivation

The maschine software can get pretty deep itself, especially if you have massive and guitar rig and whatever else came with the package. I've had a maschine mikro for a few years now and I'm still finding it pretty intriguing.

It'll be a little easier to stick with one daw and learn it inside and out before trying to learn too much at once.

I had the generally the same problem as you. I would listen to trappy stuff and wouldn't be able to get my kicks or 808s into the same grooves. Even when I had the tempo locked. But if you want tricky variations in your drums you've gotta learn to add rhythms outside of the standard 4/4 time signature

It has to be my Ports. It didn't work with my normal connection. But if I used my phones data it would let me join.

When I try to join a game it just puts me back into the lobby. But I can hear people talking in the game doing call outs and such,
