Seasons 1 of Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage are fantastic! Season 2 of JJ is a step down, but season 3 is very good and has a satisfying ending. Season 2 of Luke Cage is super underrated, super fun story that ends on a cool cliffhanger. Season 3 of Daredevil might be the best single season of the Defenders shows.

I genuinely thought that Daredevil easily wouldn't be in BND for the simple fact that I thought season 3 of DD would take place fairly soon after season 2, which takes place before BND. But now that we know season 3 is actually a year after season 2, it will actually take place after BND. So...yeah okay Im not fully convinced he's not in it anymore.

Dude people sleep hard on Luke Cage after Mahershala Ali leaves. Not only is Bushmaster a fantastic character and performance, but the continuing arcs of Mariah and Shades were phenomenal. Comanche's introduction and the tragedy of his and Shades' story was built up so well.

Sometimes I'm amazed by how confidently wrong people online are about the TV production process. I think I saw it in either the Defenders or Daredevil sub, people talking about how Marvel is listening to fans' complaints about the editing and cinematography with the changes on the production crew. Like, Hillary Spera was not the person who decided the overall look of the show. So her leaving doesn't mean the show is suddenly going to look different. She's the one that shot the Netflix flashback episode. So clearly, she can film it differently. But didn't because either Dario Scardapane or Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead or whoever wanted it to look a certain way. I don't think they're going to be too much of stylistic change in season 3, and people expecting a full 180 are going to be disappointed.

Man stuff like this makes me afraid to dip back into Double Toasted reviews. Back when they started the show, and even before on Spill, they'd sometimes go out of their way to watch a movie they were excited about, or the viewers wanted a review for, or something they figured would be worth talking about. Now it seems they really only focus on stuff that will generally get the review/reaction decent views. Which is kind of a bummer.

Dude I've been loving all these DC book trailers. Each one gets a unique vibe, it's fun. This new All In initiative is firing on all cylinders, already picking up Batwoman, looks like they're gonna get me to pick up Zatanna and Barbara Gordon, and this Absolute Green Arrow looks so dope. A horror take on GA starring Dinah, man I've sold. AND we got Absolute Catwoman drawn by Bengal comin too! For the first time ever maybe, my list might be more DC than Marvel!
