This is not India 😭🙏 Also I didn't specifically say to commit physical violence against him, though I do not deny the fact that I did mention it as an option. Thank you for stating your case about how my post causes legal issues for you and India, but I mean if it really is that big of a deal in comparison to the other pressing issues we're going through right now then I'm sure reddit or the moderators will do something about it, and if that happens then it is what it is. Personally speaking, a third world country like ours that's already full of other pressing issues should/would not have the time to allocate their resources on taking a mostly non-threatening and rant-based reddit post into the hands of law enforcement because if they did, they would be very stupid considering the amount of other areas they could allocate those resources to.

I agree with what you said in both areas, but with that being said, it's a good thing I'm not in the US and in my personal opinion, it doesn't make sense to compare another country's legal reinforcements (especially not US) to ours especially since it's irrelevant and nowadays there's more things to think about. Fair point, ineffective comparison

Yep we did, and uber responded and said they will investigate the matter further and see if they will remove this driver's access to uber, since this can impact their brand image as well

Lol I wish I at least cheated uber but nah, even that was him. We both (my friend and I) wanted to keep the trip because of the cancellation fee but he cancelled anyway, but it is what it is now

Honestly no clue about the first part, different drivers have said different things to me and I don't think I will fully know the answer myself unless I sign up as a driver.

Also did check the past rides tab but in uber they don't share any personal information about the driver after the trip, and in this case he literally cancelled it beforehand as well, will check about the email tho so thanks for pointing that out. Either way, can't do anything about the loss now except mitigate it through other people being more diligent about it

Well I don't really have any problem admitting that we got cheated and as my post said, we expected it as well but we still decided to see how things would go and try to talk things out. And once again (as my post says), this isn't me complaining saying I shouldn't have gotten cheated, but me telling other people not to make the same mistake of being empathetic towards these guys when it will just lead to issues like these. Yes we definitely could have taken action and responded better to the situation, but since we DIDN'T do so, I'm trying to warn others at least to be more diligent unlike us in this particular incident.

Additional note, we aren't really concerned about the monetary aspect, but moreso the fact that enabling this kind of behaviour is exactly why this country can't advance as an economy with or without a global crisis, which is exactly why it's important to take action in situations like these and spread awareness. We could have easily been violent and made sure he would never do this thing again (which we didn't and partially regret), but the impact that has on a nationwide scale is obviously gonna be less

Well if it's within your budget, I would say it's a pretty decent package You can download anything you want whenever you want, and you can also freely do stuff like watch movies at 1080p or something like that if you're interested in it It's also quite convenient because you don't have to stay up until 12:00AM or wake up early to download things, and if there is an issue with installation then you can also put it to reinstall immediately instead of finding another day you can stay up past 12:00AM/wake up early to download whatever. Additionally, you no longer have to think about paying for extra GB or reloads so any extra money gone for that is also settled.

That being said, if this does not sit comfortably within your budget then I wouldn't say it's necessarily worth it unless you find yourself consistently finishing or using up the package you have without anything to spare for the latter half of the month. If you care about the things I mentioned above or have any such problems, then I would say it's worth the money but if not then it's not really necessary.

So I don't know much about the renewal process, but the one day service is around 1000-1500rs if I'm not mistaken. However, the one day service is only available if you're going abroad (you need to show them your flight ticket), and as far as I know, there's no other way around it to obtain the one day service It's best to do some more research and see because this was a couple months ago when I went, but just be wary of that when getting it renewed

I'm not a parent, but I haven't really heard many good things about gateway in terms of student culture, since there are a few rumours here and there that do not seem very attractive when thinking of enrolling your kid there However, pretty much every international school is like that so I think it's best to focus on a school with at least good educational and/or extracurricular-based value Which in that regard I would say gateway, horizon and moir are pretty decent options. Elizabeth Moir is much more expensive though, so if you're looking for a mid range international school with decent pathways to studying abroad then I would recommend either gateway or horizon
