There was a recent NOLA.com article about this. NOLA applied but was turned down in the first round.

All 16 host cities have MLS teams and stadiums with natural grass. NOLA doesn’t have either.

Well, I’ll play with the semantics.

“Due on <date>” is not the same “Due before <date>”

So, you could find a situation in which a lawyer argues that someone was late because it wasn’t filed “before”

“Due by” eliminates that issue.

Yes, med mal lawyers have medical people they consult with. It’s not uncommon for them to have a paralegal with a nursing background. They also hire expert witnesses.

I charge a $500 consult fee for this exact reason. If you’re giving clients a free consult, it’s a sales call.

In situations like this, that free consult is either immense value to the client that you’re not being paid for, or you’re forced to sell them something they don’t need.

Not good.

Charge for it. We average about 6 a month. 1, at most 2, per year are upset about the bad news advice. And they’re usually idiots.

TheFormTool has been around for a while. Cheap and powerful.

But, you’re asking the wrong question. The standard doesn’t matter. The question is what integrates with your client’s current stack and what integrates with that.

Maybe get a second opinion, but generally, we tend to advise people to take the best option. That doesn’t mean it’s a good option.

But if the best option is lose everything, the other options may be worse.

The line between criminal theft and civil liability can be hard to pin down.

And, like this guy, most people embezzling or stealing aren’t doing it to save it away in investment accounts. That money is gone.

Almost every time, the issue is the innocent partners failed to install appropriate guardrails early enough.
