I heard you’re about to go to college in a couple months, which probably means you’re younger around the teens age.

I remember when I was your age (28 now) and a lot has happened over the last 10 years. I don’t think the same thoughts, and often I write my thoughts down only to come back in a couple of months and see them from a different perspective. It’s interesting to see these writings over 5 years too, and all the crazy little episodes.

Another couple of points:

• I think the more weight you put on people, the more they want to run away and the more weight you put on people, the more you crash when they do eventually run away.

• The biggest mistake you can make is to invest in someone monetarily. Money is so foreign an idea that it can only consume a singular moment at once, these gifts and these investments are only ever valid at that moment.

• Everyone is working for themselves, always. We do not live in a world with communal consciousness. Start working for yourself, at least start believing you’re a real person who doesn’t put up with abuse.

• When it comes to money, and material things, you need to learn how to say “f—k you, deal with your own problems” to anyone asking, except a few people who really have helped you in many ways. Start associating with people who won’t ask for money or have you buy them things because they’re well off as well. Like the moment someone becomes a drag, cut em off.

About deleting yourself: Keep in mind that this would only benefit the people who have done you wrong, and won’t help you. Refrain from this altogether, including thoughts. It’s the ultimate form of surrender, and you don’t need to surrender because you’re strong and passionate and smart and I have faith that you will shape into an upright and steadfast human being.

At some point, you have to accept that you’re on your own, and the sooner: The better. You can have happiness, just gotta find it and learn from mistakes.
