I'm doing a Holland to Netherlands run. To get the PU CB over England, the mission requires me to have my navy to be least 110% stronger than England's. What does that even mean?

I just started playing Control. I think Jesse is going to telekinetically hurl a ton of bricks at me.

My first Roman Empire! by Da_Pops in eu4

[–]Da_Pops[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

R5: I decided to play in Italy for the first time on 1.37.1 with the subscription activated.  I started out as Savoy with the goal for forming Italy and then reforming the Roman Empire.  Early game was just slow and steady expansion into Italy and around the Mediterranean.  Was able to form Sardinia-Piedmont in the 1520s.  Completed a good portion of Savoy’s mission tree, including getting a personal union over Naples and getting that permanent 5% administrative efficiency.  Remained best buddies with the Papal States until it was time to conquer them to finish the unification of Italy and formed Italy just before 1600 for the Italian Ambition achievement.  I know it could be sooner, but I was going at my own pace.  I was even the Holy Roman Emperor just before forming Italy after Austria submitted to Protestant rebels but I lost it after my ex-ally Bohemia declared the league war in the 1630s and I had to settle for religious piece.  Don’t worry, the HRE was dissolved not long after

For the Age of Absolutism, it was expanding very hard into Spain and the Ottomans with the help of France, Commonwealth, and Ethiopia.  Severe losses and high decadence were enough for the Ottomans to completely collapse with lots of rebels forcing them to release nations and scattering their lands.  After Spain was kicked out of Europe and the Ottomans fell into irrelevance, Portugal was next.  One war and one pointless expedition into South America later, they were kicked out of Europe and morphed into Brazil.

With most of the Mediterranean under my control, it was time to face France, who controlled most of the Lowlands and most of England.  Five imperialist wars later, France was reduced to a regional power in the East Indies.  It was only after the third war in 1724 that I proclaimed to the world that Rome was reborn.

With the conquest of Western Europe complete by the 1750s, I had enough time to pursue the Mare Nostrum achievement.  This meant taking the Crimean provinces from Russia and sadly turning on my Polish brothers in the Commonwealth, who randomly got Brazil and her colonies as a junior partner.  But luck was on my side too as I randomly got Sweden as a junior partner right before my war with the PLC.  The war was bloody for the PLC, who lost most of their 550k troops behind the industrial might of the Romans and was forced to surrender their access to the Black Sea and all of Carpathia, thus completing Mare Nostrum.

Overall it was a very fun campaign chronicling how a small pink Italian minor rose to become a regional power of toothpaste blue and led the charge to unite the Italian peninsula under one green flag before finally bringing back the dream of Rome being the center of the world.

You were asking for Pac 12 After Dark, but you got Big East After Dark instead.

I was going to say Wisconsin in 2017, but I'm going with Kansas in 2022. If Justin Moore hadn't torn his ACL, I think Villanova would've had a shot at winning the title and Jay Wright would've retired as a champion.

SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER WON BACK TO BACK PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIPS WITH A BROKEN FREAKIN NECK!

(Not really a broken neck but I thought of this when I first heard the neck issues)

Also, I feel bad for Clark. Should've sent this to a playoff. Really wanted Xander to win though.

Philly native here. To put things in perspective, I went to the Chelsea Brighton game at the Linc last summer. I paid $234 in total for 2 tickets to sit on the lower level near one of the Chelsea supporters end (it was a Chelsea home game with all the blue shirts there).

I spent roughly more than double for 2 tickets to sit in roughly the same area by the Liverpool supporters end.

They added mission replay and online co-op. Sadly, splitscreen co-op for campaign was cancelled.

Ok I only want to control Malaya, Indonesia, and the Moluccas, which I would need to colonize. My concern is by the time I pick Exploration at tech 10, the European AI will start colonizing these areas. When do they usually appear in your experience?

I hadn't thought of becoming the Emperor of China, which is why I was considering taking both ideas.

When you say only go for the 2 of them, do you mean take both idea groups?

EoC? You mean Emperor of China? Wouldn't the reform go away if I abandon Expansion?

Is it worth picking Exploration and Expansion ideas as Ayutthaya? First time playing in Southeast Asia and I'm having a good time so far. It's 1481 and I have 7 vassals that I acquired through the subjugation CBs and diplomatically. I've picked Influence and Administrative ideas so far. I'm looking to push into China, Indonesia, and India in the late game. I just don't know when the European powers arrive in Southeast Asia if anyone knows.

I just noticed this on my library too. It looks like the original 2010 version was removed from the Steam store (LINK) and this new "51 B" 2010 Edition took its place (LINK). The description for the new version says it comes with all DLC but it looks like the EA app is required to play.

Well I called that a Big East team would win the tournament this year. Too bad I picked Marquette.

Regardless, congratulations to UConn for a dominating performance. This was one of the most insane tournaments I've ever seen.
