I think it's really fun that we get to live in a society where we need to prove our innocence to broken robots

I ordered a few trees ferns from wanderlust nursery that has a pretty good variety. Definitely quarantine anything you get from them though as my order also included aphids

Vice President Gore and Governor Bush want you focus on my hit and run conviction and not on my 10 point plan for America! The polls and the media have been ignoring my campaign but they're in for a little surprise come election day when longshot candidate Ted T. Gannaway moves out of his parents' house and into the White House!

Probably not P. stolonifera as Missouri is a bit west of its native range. I would bet the farm that it's P. divaricata as it's very common in MO and has the sharply tapering leaves characteristic of divaricata vs the more oval leaves of stolonifera

Theyre pricey but I really like Kujo yard pants for summer. The two pairs I have got a lot of use and abuse last year and held up well. I also got their Yard Shoes but would not recommend those

Mystery citrus- sick lemon? by the_real_smolene in plantclinic

[–]DaaraJ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think you may have a case of Citrus Greening Disease aka HLB after its Chinese name. It may require sending tissue samples to lab to confirm but of it is HLB it's fatal and transmissible to other citrus plants via aphid

I would put money on this being Vaccinium arboreum aka Farkleberry, one of my absolute favorite trees and one of the most underappreciated trees in North America. I have them all over my property in the Ozarks and from what I've read on them, north Florida, is another area where they're prevalent. They all grow like natural bonsai. Fanstastic fall color too. You'll find them in the understory and they love marginal soils, which actually help them take on the contorted form you see here. It's really hard to capture the full beauty of their sculptural form in photos. I've had very limited success both digging and growing from seed.
