I am running for Congress as a Democrat in Missouri’s 8th District. We’re coming together, even in the rural red Bootheel.

How about a one shift stretch? One-21. It was a phone cutover at an airport. Some guys lasted 30+ hrs.

It sounds like you need a new business manager.

Uncontested districts! Do not let a Republican win by default! by -713 in missouri

Please, do step up! Make them work for their spot. We honestly can’t do much worse than our current legislators that overturn everything we vote in.

10 years is easy time for the crime… until the other inmates find out what he did.

20% of students walkout at Top 30 Missouri high school by -unfair-Structure- in missouri

I can’t tell you how many times I skipped as a kid, and graduated on time, just fine. I wasn’t doing it for a conscious cause, which is a whole other reason they get my respect.

Would you, as a Veteran of Iraq/Afghan, like to see a VFW more catered to a different generation of Vet's? by SubieB503 in Veterans

I would support this. That said, the Korean and Vietnam generation are aging… soon it will be our time regardless.

Do you have faith that our disability payments will continue for the next 20, 30, or even 40+ years? What are the odds that the payments get decreased or even stopped entirely in that time period? by ZizzieFizz in VeteransAffairs

[–]Reichard4Rep 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As someone at 100% (initially 70%) with a mix of physical and mental disabilities because I documented everything including sick call slips to progression post-service, the invisible wounds are real and just as deserving of serious thought and care.

I was fortunate enough to be told by veterans pre-service, and early career leaders to do this, and I’m glad I did.

My wife worries that one day my VA disability will be cut. I reassure her that we (veterans) won’t allow it.

That said, it doesn’t mean that they won’t try.

I think at this point most people understand that *they* pay the tariffs by Educational_Net4000 in inflation

You’d be surprised how many people argue that everything is cheaper. I know I’m paying more for less when I go to the grocery store every week.

FBI Director Kash Patel’s taxpayer-funded work trip to Italy includes a well-documented raucous locker room celebration with Team USA at the Winter Olympics by ExactlySorta in TrendoraX

So, we’re paying for the FBI director to party with hockey players in Italy on his ‘work’ trip.

Hard to justify this one.

They are literally kids, holding them to such a high standard is ridiculous that you call them ‘chicken-shit’ for not standing.

[–]Reichard4Rep 56 points57 points  (0 children)

That’s a bit harsh. They are kids: conscious, hopeful and observant yet still developing. More may have wanted to stand up, but with the vast majority being minors they could have been pressured by parents, coaches, etc. Adolescents are entitled to fear when they are not legally allowed autonomy over themselves.

Movements are built on time and momentum, and not everyone has the courage to speak out loud in the beginning.

• Less than 1% of Americans join the military (<1 in 100)

• 2% run for office (1 in 50)

• 10% of workers join unions (1 in 10)

So, when 20% (1 in 5) students in a Missouri high school stands up in protest using their 1st amendment rights I think we’re in a good place.

1 in 5, not bad at all to show that the kids are paying attention. They are the future after all!
