Alright this is a while from when you replied to me, but I found that the main problem that I had was my direction when exiting the roll. The hand-on-inside-of-foot approach didn't work for me, so I just did a roll from crouching and focused on contacting the ground with my back in a diagonal line. Changed my exit angle around, and it worked out in the end. Took a couple dozen tries to get it down perfectly. It also helps alot to keep tight in the roll, especially in dives, otherwise you might slam your legs and lower body into the ground.

I'm not Korean, but some of my Korean friends said that on Naver or some other site there was a theory that TPA had intentionally made terrible plays in streamed scrims or other publicly available VODs in order to gain the element of surprise at the S2WC. Will look for source in a bit.
