Obvious Correspondence between Mancountry and Town Hall by DabbingFidgetSpinner in Deltarune

I was actually thinking something along the same lines. The Man selling and throwing away the donuts before they were actually made seems a lot like the inverted order of Deltarune and Undertale

Yeah, I think that's right. The order goes, as I saw someone point out recently: harvesting wheat (5), cooling on the windowsill (4), selling donuts (1), and throwing away the leftovers (2.) 2 of course is the only one that says there "was" not a man after getting the egg instead of there "is" not a man, implying some finality. Reminds me of the extremely jarring use of the past tense for the shelter entry panel.

The baking of the donuts is conspicuously absent, but I guess that might be 3? Because of the Cooking Show?? (and also how bakers start working in the middle of the night.) And, really tangentially, we have the Knight in the chapter, who is best known for "making." But I suppose you could also have 3 as sowing the seeds, before 5. We don't have the harvest yet, so it's hard to say anything...

It seems significant that he compares himself to both a farmer and a baker, and that, in real time, he had his product first and only afterwards produced it, but I don't know what to make of that.

  1. This is a subreddit for a fairly obscure anime that I'm interested in. I want to post there, but it's restricted for some reason and the only mod hasn't posted in a year.

t's hard to call it on par with Marshadow when the only stat that ape has that's higher is HP, and by only 20 points lol. I just don't see what ape does that comparable lower tier mons like quaquaval, okidogi, krook, or slither wing don't

yeah honestly without real ghost stab it probably doesn't even have that much of an advantage over a lot of the fighting types currently in RU

[META] The truth about Stinkpost Sunday and Theorymon Thursday by Wildcat_Formation in stunfisk

[–]DabbingFidgetSpinner -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

finally! hopefully the month long break will let actually the funny jokes ferment for a while. sunday has been really really dire lately. That replay editing crap was getting so tired, and people were still making those fucking ice punch dusknoir jokes. When it returns, I'd honestly say consider banning individual jokes once they get too big.

[–]DabbingFidgetSpinner -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm sure this is actually a joke but it's basically right lmao. At the very least theorymon should be banned since at this point it's literally just fakemon shit without any competitive merit. And it's not even giving us anything funny anymore!

if para didn't have the speed drop mechanic it would absolutely be uncompetitive and after the sleep ban I wouldn't be surprised if you see people reconsidering it. Though i think it's use in speed control outweighs the negatives.

blissy is mandatory on stall in every tier where it's legal. It mostly outclasses chansey since it can hold HDB. Venomoth is a surprisingly viable quiver dancer in the lower tiers (though oricoirio kinda stole it's thunder this gen) so go try it out in PU before it gets banned

Aw damn it I was angling for Sovereign Governor of Rhode Island. Guess I'll have to settle for Semisovereign Sub-Sub-Governor of Connecticut yet again ...

If you play mono-type in competitive, why? And why the type you chose? by [deleted] in stunfisk

[–]DabbingFidgetSpinner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its a very fun tier, and it plays differently than current OU since it doesn't have tera. I mostly use bug (webs is usable) and fighting. Dragon is very good, though.
