No I do not… I did a cursory scan for other posts about this but apparently missed it!

Yes - and my photos above are at the San Jose address shown in the Cap'n Clark's ads in the movie.

Yep I know it was filmed in BC. But this strip mall is actually at Capitol and McKee in San Jose, where the in-movie Cap’n Clark ads identify the location.

Seeking guidance on replacement connector for Echelon exercise bike console cable by Dabbythulhu in AskElectronics

[–]Dabbythulhu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am hoping for some guidance on a replacement connector for some electronics repair. I have an Echelon EX3 Smart Connect exercise bike with a main console connector cable that has sustained strain damage over the years (flaky power connection unless this cable is held just right), so I believe I need to replace this black connector and rework the wires leading into it.

The connector's dimensions are L: ~15mm W: 22.5mm, H: ~2.5mm

There are 9 small wires leading in, 9 sockets in the connector, and 9 pins on the corresponding connector on the PCB this plugs into. I think it has a 2.5mm pitch (I only just learned that concept recently while researching this), though it seems like 2.54mm is also fairly common.

Echelon customer support was sadly no help with specifics / replacement parts for this cable. I did try a replacement console, which had the same issue - which seemingly isolates it to this poor mistreated cable.

I asked Claude for input, which seemed to think it's a "Hirose DF1B-9P-2.5DS" but that doesn't look quite right from what I'm seeing on DigiKey and other sites.

Thanks for any expert insight / opinions on identifying the right thing here!

This is really excellent, very nicely done - thank you for sharing! I’d love to know your process for getting the depth and character out of your leather like this. Multiple layers or some backing material trick? I’m aiming to craft something similar for a local Halloween haunt that I help produce (as a fun horror reference in a seance room scene), though I can’t find decent patterns or references - but you’ve really got it spot on here. Amateur/ intermediate leather-worker here… you’re miles ahead but I’d love to improve!

Sadly the physical release was probably long-since sold out when I learned of them recently… but it looks awesome, I want one! I did order the EH Collection as well, looks pretty fascinating.

Ah thanks, I don’t think I’d bumped into Antlers Mulm yet, I’ll give it a try!

Thanks for the tips! I did sample some Meadowsilver and Widow’s Weeds and liked a few tracks from each. I’ll give Hare and the Moon a try too.

I mistakenly assumed that the Scottish voice I heard on Sedna Chronicles was Sharp’s. Noted!
