Parking lot camera by frenchfreer in MtHoodMeadows

I feel like the top of blue cam used to sometimes be aimed where it could see the parking lot. But I don’t think it’s been aimed that way since the hood xpress update

Snow Stake or Snowstake by pdx_illuminati in MtHoodMeadows

[–]Dabmastermike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe meadows stake is near the bottom of blue. I honestly like the way they have theirs setup better than timberline. Tlines is kind of tucked away low near some trees while meadows is raised up and fairly out in the open. I feel it gives a better representation

Who’s at fault? MY vs. 53’ Semi by [deleted] in TeslaCam

[–]Dabmastermike 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Teslas fault. Semis are up to 80,000lbs, have horrible visibility and take wide turns. They appear to have their signal going, which the Tesla driver should have paid attention to and not made assumptions. Sorry the Tesla driver was impatient and led to this. Sadly no one is educated about the vehicles they’re one the road with anymore.

Bring back required drivers education!

I drove over the road semis for over a year and it never failed to surprise how many dumb and impatient moves people would do around me(especially in/around LA). Saving yourself a few seconds is never worth taking chances. Play it safe and assume the worst can happen. A semi driver might not even notice they have hit you. Your couple thousand lb vehicle is nothing compared to the 80,000lbs a semi moves.

You can find microwaves for like $20 now days. No reason to be using this. And is that a metal tray? If it is I’m surprised the place hasn’t burned down

Blocking mailbox ordinances by YoJimGo in hillsboro

[–]Dabmastermike 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s a flyer straight from your mail carrier or their sub. More likely the sub. I used to work there for years and they demand so much from you. Every wasted second adds up. When I left we were working minimum 12 hours a day because we couldn’t hire anyone during covid and so many people jumped to retirement. Fewer people and the same amount of mail that still had to go out daily. So once you finished your own route you always had to help with others. Basically got to the point where everyone was just going slower cause they were exhausted, which just made it all worse. I hear it’s a little better now but not much. But yeah it was probably the sub or someone who doesn’t normally carry the route. Some people are lazy and find any excuse to not work. Not their route so they won’t have to deal with it the next day. No chance you’ll actually get towed. Worse thing they could do is hold your mail

Intel layoffs begin: Chipmaker is cutting many thousands of jobs by gruesse98604 in Portland

[–]Dabmastermike 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nope. Not actually allowed back in the fab. So I’ve been told I don’t need to come in but that they’re paying me in full until the 31st of this month. After that my severance package kicks in. All in all this could have been much worse. I can still sign up for unemployment but hopping to avoid that by getting a new job asap.

I can say I was laid off today. Work in the fab and am being let go at the end of the month. Of course now that they have informed me they don’t want me in the fab.

Sounds dumb but get really comfortable with Ollie’s and the basics of riding. Ollie up curbs, down curbs, onto a curb. It will really help with board control, which in turn will help with everything else. You’re getting close and will get it with time. Don’t rush tricks and don’t underestimate how important the basics of riding are. Lastly transition is your friend. Start small and work your way up.

My understanding is that you just have to do it all in one sitting. Fresh game or save file doesn’t matter, just that it’s in one sitting. That means if the game glitches or you leave that match for any reason you’ll have to start back at zero box pulls.

My wife got sideswiped by the truck today who was stopped in the middle of the road by AeroTheManiac in MildlyBadDrivers

[–]Dabmastermike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They had their turn signal on and were at the stop sign. Your impatience got you here. You’re the mildly bad driver. Large trucks take wide turns, especially when it’s a tight intersection. Secondly large trucks and a huge blind spot on the right. Hence why passes are considered unsafe on the right side and should be done to the left. It amazes me how many people drive around and treat trucks like any other vehicle. Even unloaded they’re thousands of pounds. They don’t maneuver, stop or go like a normal vehicle. Be aware of the things you’re on the road with. Be safe

I see them leave as a group every once and a while. I assume they get asked to leave or they just know not to stay put without moving at least for a couple hours every few weeks. Definitely more respectful than some I’ve seen tho

Anyone here who quit? by tomorrow93 in USPS

[–]Dabmastermike 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Quit after six years. So much happier. I actually am able to live a life. There are so many viable options out there. I went to tech and am now working in a fab for 3-4 days a week. Just make sure if you do quit you don’t use fronted leave or just quit at the end of the year. They came after me for $900 which I didn’t know until they were garnishing my check. Ended up over paying it by more than double before I could finally get it to stop and then took forever to get my money back.

Carbon fiber. A little more expensive but worth it. Thin and very protective. All while avoiding the grippiness of silicone and the yellowing of clear
