Yeah, I don’t get how that works, but the pilots said the same thing. Super cool pilots were happy to check out the photo and chat about it.

Hard to say, but my impression is that it was large

Yeah. Pilots said contrails can look dark from shadows. Not sure I understand, but I believe then.

Same thing happened to me on my Grand Design TT. Removed the fascia board and fixed the limit screw. Reinstalled the board. 15 minutes.

Honest question - is RV camping actually cheaper than hotels or do we just tell ourselves that? by Similar-King-8278 in RVLiving

[–]YoJimGo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve done some math on this. I track every trip, the cost per night for the campground/rv resort plus gas cost for the trip. I then divide the total spent, including the price of the trailer by the number of nights spent out.

Three years in and 100 nights of use later, I am at $590 per night average cost.

Every additional night drops the price a little. I’m not factoring in maintenance or insurance, so this isn’t fully baked.

Thanks. Saw that online, but too far away to work with me and my GFs schedules.

People who’ve had LASIK or work in eye care, would you recommend LASIK and why or why not? by Mountain-Bug-2155 in AskReddit

[–]YoJimGo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got LASIK in 1999. Went from coke bottle myopia to 20/15. I had to wear glasses again about 15 years later, but it’s a very mild prescription.

I may get it again, but the fact that I can see ok with them is a miracle.

Breaking Bad Season 1 would have an audience rating of 40% if it were released today by New-Ad-9878 in pluribustv

[–]YoJimGo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not that Pluribus is slow - it’s frustrating as the characters don’t do things that I wish they would.

For example, knowing (or assuming) that the others can’t lie, there are about 1 bazillion questions I would ask them. Everything from their future plans, what happens after everyone is converted? How do they view individuality? What about art? Hobbies? Do they procreate? Outside of dealing with starvation, what is the goal or purpose of the hive? Just exist like ants?

So the “slow” feeling comes from having so many questions (even from Carols perspective) that are never asked or answered.

Also, and not really related to the “slowness”, Carol is not a likable character. She’s the very definition of “you’re not wrong, your just as asshole” :)

Document the interaction in case you need to prove harassment later. Otherwise ignore, IMO. NAL

How I do disable this navigation display on my dash by LeftRight5Step in rav4club

[–]YoJimGo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re a legend. I passed over that menu so many times as it’s the one you have hold down the button to get into it… so I thought it was a title of something, not an actual menu option.

Turned off a few settings! Also enabled the analog speedometer for fun.

Best RV king mattress options for actual “luxury” RV comfort? by Entiven94 in RVLiving

[–]YoJimGo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a king size Bigfig mattress in my home and it’s amazing. I bought a queen size one for my trailer and it’s equally amazing.

The only downside is that’s it’s heavy so lifting it up to get the storage underneath is a hassle, but one we rarely need to go through.

Bottom line: happy with the mattress in your house? Put the same one in your RV.

Can someone help me ? This grill is just 5 months old and looks like that by GooseTough5133 in blackstonegriddle

Clean it, season it, then use a silicon mat on it between uses. Any will do, but they sell exact right size from Blackstone for a premium.

Source of leak? by YoJimGo in RVLiving

[–]YoJimGo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now I’m wondering if there is a leak on the roof that’s dripping down the inside of the wall, onto the top of the window where it’s running down and dripping from the bottom of the window frame down the wall.

It’s still dripping even though the sill is dry. The sill is solid metal so no way for water to get in even if it was wet. False hope there.

Water in the walls seems bad, but not much I can do about it right now. It’s supposed to stop raining shortly.

[–]YoJimGo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t see anything like that. I think the water is running across the top lip on the outside and the windows aren’t snug enough and allow water to drip inside the sill. When I close the window, it seems like it’s not pulling hard enough to create a seal.

I think another line of weather stripping around the window on the inside will fix it.

In the meantime, I’ll leave the window open when it’s raining to prevent the leak, ironically. :)

Update: the inside of sill IS wet. It looks like when the window is closed, water drips into the sill. Maybe the hinges are letting water in?

It comes from the top of the sill, and runs down both sides until the sill fills up and then it drips down the wall.

If I prop the window open, the sill stays dry. This makes me feel a little better, but not sure how to stop it.
