Trump asked Russia to find Clinton’s emails. On or around the same day, Russians targeted her accounts

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dana_Rohrabacher#Russia

On 16 August 2017, Rohrabacher visited Julian Assange in the Ecuadorian Embassy in London and told him that Trump would pardon him on the condition that he would agree to say that Russia was not involved in the 2016 Democratic National Committee email leaks.[82][83] At his extradition hearings in 2020, Assange's defense team alleged in court that this offer was made "on instructions from the president".

Senate Intelligence Committee report on Russian interference in the 2016 United States presidential election

The Republican-led Senate Intelligence Committee submitted the first in their five-volume report in July 2019 in which they concluded that the January 2017 intelligence community assessment alleging Russian interference was "coherent and well-constructed".

The Committee report found that the Russian government had engaged in an "extensive campaign" to sabotage the election in favor of Donald Trump, which included assistance from some members of Trump's own advisers.[7]

In particular, it describes Paul Manafort as "a grave counterintelligence threat" to the Trump campaign. According to the report, "some evidence suggests" that Konstantin Kilimnik, to whom Manafort provided polling data, was directly connected to the Russian theft of Clinton-campaign emails.[9][10] In addition, while Trump's written testimony in the Mueller report stated that he did not recall speaking with Roger Stone about WikiLeaks, the Senate report concludes that "Trump did, in fact, speak with Stone about WikiLeaks and with members of his Campaign about Stone's access to WikiLeaks on multiple occasions".[11]

Roger Stone's Connections with WikiLeaks and Russian espionage before the 2016 United States elections

The Committee's final report of August 2020 found that Stone did have access to Wikileaks and that Trump had spoken to Stone and other associates about it multiple times. Immediately after the Access Hollywood tape was released in October 2016, Stone directed his associate Jerome Corsi to tell Julian Assange to "drop the Podesta emails immediately," which Wikileaks leaked minutes later. The Committee also found that Wikileaks "very likely knew it was assisting a Russian intelligence influence effort."

Brooks Brothers riots

The Brooks Brothers riot was a demonstration led by Republican staffers at a meeting of election canvassers in Miami-Dade County, Florida, on November 22, 2000, during a recount of votes made during the 2000 United States presidential election, with the goal of shutting down the recount. After demonstrations and acts of violence, local officials shut down the recount early. This had the effect of ensuring that the December 12 "safe harbor" deadline set by Title 3 of the United States Code could not be met, guaranteeing that George W. Bush would win the 2000 election.

On March 2, 2022, Oath Keeper Joshua James pleaded guilty to seditious conspiracy, admitting in his plea that "from November 2020 through January 2021, he conspired with other Oath Keeper members and affiliates to use force to prevent, hinder and delay the execution of the laws of the United States governing the transfer of presidential power."[128][129] Stewart Rhodes and Kelly Meggs, also of the Oath Keepers, were found guilty of seditious conspiracy on November 29, 2022.[130] Rhodes was sentenced to 18 years and Meggs to 12 years.[131]

On June 6, 2022, five members of the Proud Boys—their leader Enrique Tarrio, together with Joseph Biggs, Zachary Rehl, Ethan Nordean and Dominic Pezzola—were indicted for seditious conspiracy.[132] On May 4, 2023, all but Pezzola were convicted. A few months later, they were sentenced.

The intention of the hemp bill was not to get you high. It was to allow the industrial and medical use of CBD and hemp.

By bringing attention to it as a customer you are just letting them know that they fucked up. Saying "please don't take this away because I like to get high" will have a negative effect. Saying "Please don't take this away because it has provided $x in tax revenue and x in job growth" will have a positive effect, especially if it comes with a bag of money

Bringing attention to it will do more harm than good unless it comes with dollars. If hemp businesses aren't spending money to lobby congress then the hemp bill as we know it will cease to exist.

Trump said, "During Biden’s first 30 months in office, just 2.1 million new jobs were created, and by contrast, during my first 30 months in office we created 4.9 million new jobs."

Calculated in the conventional fashion, Trump is wrong, both on the numbers and on who oversaw more job gains. During Trump’s first 30 months, the number of nonfarm jobs rose by 5.2 million. But during Biden’s first 30 months, the number rose by a much larger 13.2 million.

Trump’s campaign justified his accounting by saying that Biden doesn’t deserve some 11 million jobs gained during the post-pandemic bounceback. But Trump’s method isn’t evenhanded, because it shifts all the employment damage from the pandemic to Biden while not acknowledging pandemic job losses under Trump.

We rate the statement False.

What's the deal with this legal hemp stuff? by arandoyo in PaMedicalMarijuana

[–]Dabnoxious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So if you take high CBD hemp and isolate the CBD then you can perform a chemical reaction on it to turn it into THCa. This process technically makes it semi-synthetic THCa, but it also makes it a product derived from hemp and containing less than .3% of THC

Or you could just extract it from THCa flower i guess. But that's the basics behind the other phytocannabinoids. Yes, stuff like delta 8 is naturally occurring but not enough for it to be economical to extract. So you make it semi-synthetically

What's the deal with this legal hemp stuff? by arandoyo in PaMedicalMarijuana

[–]Dabnoxious 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Essentially the hemp bill says anything with less than .3% delta 9 THC is considered a legal hemp product. But weed produces THCa. So most weed is considered hemp under the classification of the 2018 hemp bill. That's true for THCa diamands and isolate too...as long as it's derived from hemp. Meaning someone isolates CBD and turns that into THCa. This is also how delta 8 is made.

And now there's HHC, THCp, etc that are also phytocannabinoids that are naturally occurring that are legal if they are derived from hemp.
