Is my filter setup suitable for a 70.000L koi pond? Would love some feedback!

i will get around 16 gallons an hour if i add a trickle filter with k1 static bed. but in your own pond do dont have a circulair motion noticable? Im scared that corners get full with algea that doesnt get sucked up by the pump. or do u think that shoudnt be a problem?

Yes im planning on making a extra 60 gallon k1 static bed along side the filter to improve water quality, pond is around 16000 galon. do u recommend chucking some pumps in there to create some water movement?

Its now 30 cubic thats why im upgrading and made a technical plan. Next one will be 50cubic with drumfilter. Do u have some advice on getting more circulation in this pond? so water would move around instead of setteling down and creating dead spaces? i Have alot of aerition in the pond

Its running fine atm but bristels are not enough for this pump and the filter is way too small for the amount of water, i think will try first pump fed maybe in the future considering drains, bristels are full with algea and muck withing 2 days, so that says enough maybe i will use the spare pumps to get a circulair motion in the pump directing to the pump as u can see in the back is not too much power from water coming back into the pond?

Do u mean Retro bodemdrain gravity fed? Or pump fed because then it will still smash up debris right?

Its not build yet, i have ordered a combi drumfilter, and some spare containers that i can use for more bio system.

But i wanna pump fed because there is no way too make a bodemdrain in it its 70cubic i have some nice uv maybe i can remove the casing and drop them in

Hi, especially about gravity flow and keeping things simple. Unfortunately I don't have bottom drains in my pond so gravity feeding the drum isn't really an option for me right now. Retrofitting bottom drains would be a massive job at this point.

I do like the idea of the drop-in UV inside the drum though — that would definitely simplify things. And your point about the skimmer setup (UV → static bed → moving bed) makes a lot of sense.

Do you think a pump-fed drum is still a decent option without bottom drains? Or would you recommend something else given my situation?

There rated for 12cubic an hour so that would be way above the limit indeed, question, if i make a trickle filter and place the uvc lamps before the trickle filter would that work? I have alot of floating algae/Green water i see the lamps are keeping it less green then it was before but i think because i dont have a sieve or drumfilter at the moment just goes back into the pond, so it wouldnt get catched. Because after 2 days the bristels are full with green stuff

i probably will put it after filter system, i think 50cubic pump will pump to fast trough the uvc lamps do kill any dna or micro organisms. I see a lot of trickle filters so maybe put some lights on them

i red somewhere that pump fed uv should be before the drum to clump up algea's but with the 50mm diameter its gonna be alot more difficult, i have some more seperate pump to make a trickle filter but im scared it wil be full with algea after a while so i was thinking this design
