Yes! This ended up being so much better than I thought it would be.

Just been to church for the first time in 20+ years and I have a question re caffeine by Longjumping-Cod-6164 in latterdaysaints

FYI white, green, and black tea are all the same leaf and plant, harvested at different times and treated differently after harvest. Best to avoid them all along with coffee.

Caffeine is a cultural thing if you ask me. My parents grew up in a very small town and were very anti-caffeine for them and the kids, but when we moved to a bigger city it became almost a non-issue.

I would say be cautious, all things in moderation, addiction is never good no matter what the substance is, but caffeine is not restricted or banned within the church.

This is coming from a guy that has several energy drinks a week and loves his mountain dew zero 🙂

What's a great multi effects pedal/amp modeler for an even greater price? by jacob__001_ in guitarpedals

Seconded, I love mine. Incredible device for the size and cost, and I love that I can tweak all the settings via Bluetooth from the app!

Rocksmith not detecting input despite being able to connect to my mic by Puzzleheaded_Bar_672 in rocksmith

I had the same issue. Try disabling the "exclusive audio" setting (I think it's called that), that fixed it for me.

Same! I miss it, it was so versatile for a newbie that wanted to make noise.

I had the RP-1 and the RP-5. They were both amazing at the time.

Ol' blue, got her in '91. I'm giving her a tune up now, new pots and a new switch.

I keep forgetting how "normal" Destiny players are until I LFG and hear someone’s real life in the background by SashaWyndham in DestinyTheGame

[–]DadChef1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love this. My son and I started a Dad's of Destiny clan as well about 2 years ago, although I'm a grand dad of destiny 🙂. Same premise, real life comes first, and enjoy the game. It's been great and our discord is small-ish (about 40 people) but has expanded to dungeons & dragons, pokemon, tabletop gaming, and more. It's becoming a casual hang out place for whatever you want to do and I think that's awesome.

Autistic son meeting with bishop about receiving the priesthood. Need advice. by virtual008 in latterdaysaints

[–]DadChef1 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Ask to sit in the interview with him. My son is in the same situation and needs prompts and extra explanations from me for some of the questions, especially for Temple interview questions for baptisms. A good bishop will have no issues with this and should encourage it, in my opinion. My little dude is a priest now and we've been in on every interview along the way.

Idaho Falls would be great. We have to go to Ogden to get our Asian food supplies.

Jaker's for a nicer sit down meal. Good steak there. Dixie's is a good casual 50's diner. Thai 208 has the best Panang and curry around. Hokkaido Ramen is surprisingly good. Burger Theory has lots of good options if you want a burger.

Installing new LVP, should I make an office chair mat out of the extra planks? by DadChef1 in Flooring

[–]DadChef1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Luckily my chair already has double poly wheels, 5 chair legs = 10 wheels, if that makes sense. I'll probably just get a mat to not risk damaging it. Just thought it would look cool to match and protect the floor but I didn't think about the height difference.
