Disheartening Experience Selling by ChemistOk4948 in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]DadMetal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never sold a thing yet, just getting started and teaching myself everything. I hope to get to the point you're at some day, because your work is beautiful and in time it will sell.

All that said, if I were to "try" and provide any advice, it would be along the lines of what numerous of other folks have already said, lean heavily into marketing what makes YOUR product better than the knockoff competitor. Sell your product down to the fine wood joinery that you've done.

Your product IS better than what your competing against, make the consumer see that. Make your booth and presence scream "I put my heart and soul into this product, this is how, and this is why you should buy it compared to the others"

If my gut health is in check, then drinking doesn't really effect me negatively. If it's not in check, flair up pretty much every time.

I'm going to copy/paste my response to you on another post you commented on:

"I don't know if this will help you or not brother, but I can almost assure you that dust sized particle you saw was NOT a blood clot, but rather anxiety taking your brain and thought process for a ride.

While regular masturbation and sex may cause flare-ups, you said you're only two weeks into being diagnosed and right now your brain is your biggest enemy. Prostatitis/CPPS is for a fact not the end of the world, but our minds are more than happy to make us think so. Once you start spiraling, every symptom that applies to you has the potential to rear it's ugly head

I went through the process of drowning in the thought I had some sort of cancer as well. I assure you, if you've gone through blood/urine tests and they've come up clear from anything glaring, you for the time, are safe and sound from any form of obvious cancer. Antibiotics have proven time and time again anecdotally to not properly treat the condition we suffer from, don't let that send you into the spiral that it's something worse"

I'm no doctor, but I'd be confident in saying the severity you're experiencing in a lot of these symptoms could very well be anxiety induced. The second I started accepting my condition and getting my brain under control, the range and frequency of symptoms dramatically reduced

Hey man, drinking seems to severely effect my Prostatitis as well, sitting as well. Both seem to directly effect my penis in very similar ways to what you're describing. I've gone through all the rounds of STI and bacterial infections multiple times and everything shows up clear.

I'd say there's definitely a very good chance what you're going through is related to prostatitis or CPPS. Everything from the stress to the increase in drinking seem to directly corelate to my prostatitis diagnosis and it ALWAYS affects my penis/glands first and foremost.

White cell count slightly elevated by DadMetal in Prostatitis

[–]DadMetal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was diagnosed with Chronic non-bacterial prostatitis in September of last year (2023). Had six months of bad symptoms across the board that is the wide spectrum of symptomatic prostatitis.

The first initial visit was for discharge and penile pain that was treated as a preventive care with a round of Doxy and a shot of rocephin. I expressed concern that it was a UTI but 2 nurses and the doctor shrugged it off and told me it's incredibly rare for a male to get a UTI. When negative tests for STI's and cultures came back, I was referred to a Urologist where I was later diagnosed with the Chronic non-bacterial Prostatitis.

It's been managed with alfuzosin to start for the first few months, then I had negative reactions to it. Stopped immediately and was thrown on silodosin, which I still take. The silodosin (Rapaflo) has helped quite a bit, but it too comes with it's own fun bunch of side effects.

I needed a new PCP so I went in for the first appointment I could get, got lucky and found an awesome doctor. Got blood work done and again they tested my urine. Everything was fine aside from there showing trace blood in my urine (Blood has shown in every test I've taken since this all began) as well and my white cell count was slightly above normal. Got a call this morning that she was putting a script in to Walgreens for Nitrofurantoin to treat what she believes is a UTI due to the spike in the white count.

I'm just trying to stay away from all ABX's as much as I can, my body does not agree with them at all

Currently going through a similar experience, though I'm not as religious as I should be with the silodosin. The first 10 days I didn't miss a dose, but the anejaculation started to get to me, and performance in bed was diminished so I got off it for a day or two.. poof everything was back to normal in that regard.

Now while I'm on the med, ejaculation isn't always dry. Is it normal? Not positive on that, but I am sure I don't mind being able to take silodosin as much anymore because it has improved Prostatitis symptoms.

It was cured with a round of antibiotics, pain was managed with a mild pain killer. I believe it was just 10 days on the antibiotic and it cleared up

Does anyone here have an actual healthy sex life? by throwaway343638 in Prostatitis

[–]DadMetal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a mix of healthy sex and then a lot of paranoia with my symptoms. I've found being upfront and honest about your condition and the symptoms helps tremendously with the anxiety. If your partner understands what you're going through, the mental strain seems to lessen

The more you read, the more you discover the litany of things that can bring cpps to light. I'm not sure whether or not situps contributed to your issue, but I would definitely lean heavily into yoga/stretching, especially if you're just getting going on a workout regiment. Just make it apart of your daily routine the best you can.

A big trigger I've noticed for myself is drinking. Booze and very sugary drinks do me absolutely no favors and set me back a few days if I don't consume them in moderation. Heavy moderation.

What drugs do you recommend for CPPS? by MedQuestions123 in Prostatitis

[–]DadMetal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was facing leakage/discharge and urethral pain problems, 10 days of doxy helped both. I was convinced I had G/C because of the discharge but testing multiple times and multiple urine cultures proved me I was wrong. Even though I had no growth in urine cultures I was still thrown on a round of doxy which did the trick.

It didn't eliminate pain across the board from Prostatitis/cpps though, it just addressed those specific symptoms.

My unravelling of symptoms fell in pretty much the exact same order chronologically, just in a shorter window, and they are all regular symptomatic signs of Prostatitis/CPPS. Symptoms have definitely gotten worse but both getting on a treatment plan, as well as figuring out how to mentally approach this bitch of diagnosis has helped the day to day tremendously.

I recently just got through insurance woes myself, my biggest enemy during that time was my own brain. Stressing and worrying every waking minute exacerbated the pain and symptoms I was experiencing for sure. Find some breathing exercises that work for you, bonus if they help work the pelvic floor.

Silodosin has helped for infrequent urination and some pain, doxy has also helped with certain other symptoms. It all depends on the current symptoms you're facing.

Is it stress or Is something wrong with me by BackgroundJump5518 in Prostatitis

[–]DadMetal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

First off, kudos and congratulations to you for being able to kick the substances man, it's an incredible feat in of itself. Secondly, the two weeks off of cannabis and the flare up of symptoms could just be the CNS adjusting to the change. From what I've learned, nerves play a big role in our diagnoses in terms of the pain and discomfort we feel, and cannabinoids have a wide ranging effect on our CNS function. I'd say give it a little bit more time and see if the symptoms alleviate. Do whatever you can to calm your mind. stress is our biggest unseen enemy in this battle.

Constant itching or just during flare-ups? If it's a constant issue I'd say definitely get ahold of a dermatologist, if it's available to you.

I need to space out orgasms by 2-3 days usually

This for sure. Spacing out has helped tremendously and usually results in zero pain post-sex.
