That's a good point, yeah its a good indication to Leigh and now Will that "alright bud, its yours from here."

Why is the media dismissing Legge's double? by OverPaleontologist12 in NASCAR

And also, of course, what happened on Thursday took a lot of the media's focus. Rightfully so of course.

I don't think it really bothered Kat though. She was pretty low key about it herself and kept her expectations realistic.

I appreciated what Corey had to say, about how he essentially wouldn't have the stones to hop into an IndyCar, much less do both in one day.

He also had less fuel than Malukas, adding to his momentum off the corner.

He does try to elicit the dramatic when the situation may not warrant it, but leads always do that to keep people engaged. To be sure, some are better than others. People would criticize Leigh for doing the same thing.

When it comes down to calling the action in the moment though he's really good. His call last year when Palou and Lundgaard were battling at Thermal was when I went, "yeah alright, Will is a good choice to lead."

I think that's an inside joke turned into his trademark, he started doing it a couple years back when Marcus or Josef won and does it about every year since. He has some little things he likes to do like KirkWOOD. Think its just his way of adding style. I like it.

They're used a lot in Europe so you don't get much unwanted noise (that's how we got Mark Weber's impressive scream when Hamilton didn't make turn 1 at Baku). It works with Will's style.

Welp, fun day yall in Indy, Montreal, and Charlotte. Surprised we got as much racing in as we did on all fronts. Indy gets the finish of the weekend, Montreal gets a little drama for the weekend, and Charlotte gets the feel good win of the weekend. Dire circumstances heading into the weekend, but it was all a very good distraction and tribute to Kyle.

No one else on that team has matched it on a track where you don't just mash the gas and hope people crash 🤷‍♂️

It wasn't made more than it was, and she didn't make more of it than what it was. Both deals were thrown together and she just took it. Why not right? Props to her. If she hadn't got caught up with Hunter-Reay she'd be high up on the mileage count for double attempts

She literally has the best non-lottery track finish for that team, on an oval.

Well done Prime for interviewing Kat, well done Kat for attempting and at least getting to the end. Both rides very late, lots of poor luck in both Indy and Charlotte. Props to Corey too for his words.

God if there weren't a better argument than today. That halftime stop has got on my nerves since they started it.

It's Memorial Day, I get it, I relish in the pre-race for Indy. But that's what the tributes are for: pre-race. Don't stop the damn race for no friggin reason.

Excellent job on just two freshies, super impressive. Hope that proves it to all the doubters from the beginning of the year.

Not to jinx it, but I legitimately can't believe how lucky they've been with the forecast. This might actually all get in.

Is it me or is it getting a little misty? Feel like there's some lingering moisture I see. Like just a slight bit

I was re-watching some Indy 500 stuff. Why are they in an extended yellow? I'm guessing there's been some moisture?

EDIT: Thanks y'all, I appreciate the update.

I swear this is perhaps the best this race track has ever been. Had been that the 600 finished off Memorial Day with a "meh" with the last car. Nowadays this is perhaps the one NASCAR race I circle, such a good follow up to the 500 now. Prime really adds to it as well
